After walking and sifting through many boring shops full of the same things, this shop was a breath of fresh air! The shopkeepers were the owners, a couple. They were warm and kind, willing to help and answer questions. I ended up buying an ornament, a nativity, and a lovely necklace for my daughter. They very kindly wrapped all of it for me so that it would not break on the way home. What a lovely little discovery!

I always like to find interesting things to bring back from visiting a place. My ideal find are items that remind me of the place but also are beautiful or interesting in their own right. Ithaca is packed with such things. Ceramics, jewelry, bowls, etc. All of the items are made by Spanish artisans. There are so many different items and styles you are bound to find something to take home. Prices are really good too. This is SO much better than the cheesy tourist trap shops in Ramblas.

After recently dealing with ITACA L' ART DEL POBLE online we have found them to be extremely Honorable and pleasant to deal with. We needed two more Muses to add to a set of Muses of Palau de la Música we were collecting after two visits to their store and the Music hall in Barcelona in person. They shipped the items promptly with no fuss but the Australian delivery company lost the parcel! Normally this means disaster and fighting with an insurance company etc but Bibiana at ITACA L' ART DEL POBLE dealt with the problem herself without any fuss and quickly had another set of Muses on there way to us, which arrived well packed and in a very quick time. We have nothing but praise for the shop and its staff and hope everyone visits there if they want some really great artisan made souvenirs of Barcelona.

We were strolling the street shops and discovered Itaca. The unusual things they have are special, not the things you find in most of the stores. Stop in and check this place out.
