Neighborhood: Barrio Gòtico (Barri Gòtic)
With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighborhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.

Wide road
Oct 2018 • Couples
Passeig del Colom is a wide road, almost by the water's edge, lined with palm trees. It is quite beautiful and you would enjoy it even more if you were to take a walk along this lovely street. There are several cafes, restaurants and other shops along the road, some with outside seating. The street stretches from the Columbus monument, at Mirador de Colom, up to the Central Post Office.

This wide avenue lined with palm trees runs along the waterfront from the Columbus monument to the Central Post Office.

After La Rambla, you will find more space to walk here.

A wonderful place for walking with a lot of attractions and one of them is a monument to Colombus (1882-1888).

The Passeig del Colom is the name of a wide street in the Ciutat Vella (Old City) section of Barcelona. Line with palms trees this street faces the sea and the highlight is the Columbus Monument. Jolly Chriss.

Walking down Passeig Del Colom from the magnificent Columbus Monument down to the wonderful marina and harbour area is just a joy to do on any holiday i take to this most vibrant of cities.
The architecture along this boulevard is outstandingly beautiful and the marina and port area first rate,it's packed with great pubs, bars and restaurants ,it's a fun boulevard to walk down, besides the great architecture and nightlife there's also some great sites here such as the famous lobster monument and the fabulous Cara De Barcelona, fantastic sculptures and great meeting points.
A wonderful boulevard and well worth checking out.

Wide boulevard from Columbus to the Lobster (and harbor)
Sep 2018 • Couples
Lined with palm trees and very pedestrain friendly, this is a very pleasant walk along the waterfront and amidst some old Barcelona architectural treasures. Depending on the amount of free time a visitor has, this is a highly recommended route to travel.

The harbor at the end is where the ferry boats run and where the boardwalk showcases a tourist-friendly harbor-side mall with all the bells, whistles and amusements to fill any periods of empty time (if indeed there is such a thing when traveling).

The oversized and cartoonish lobster is a strange vestige from an out-of-business seafood restaurant. Apparently the city fathers of Barcelona fell in love with Robbie the Lobster.

One of Barcelona's best.
Apr 2018 • Couples
This wide avenue runs from the Columbus Monument to the post Office. It dates to 1888 and was the first attempt to unite the city and the sea by means of a broad avenue. It was enlarged and reconstructed for the 1992 Olympics and included a palm lined street. Nice promenade alongside that hosts the Smiling Shrimp and is a good place to enjoy a stroll and enjoy the sights.

Gorgeous marine area with lots to see & enjoy
Feb 2018 • Couples
This is a busy area where lots of people enjoy walking or jogging with a lovely view of boats and the waterfront generally. Restaurants, cafes, bars in this area tend to be expensive and touristy but they all have great views.

Apart from the famous sculptures that exist along this walk (Smiling Shrimp, Cara de Barcelona - see pics), there is also the Columbus Monument (see pics) and some grand historical buildings (see pic).

On the weekends families take their children for a stroll and bubble performers (see pic) entertain along here. Look out for music festivals that occur regularly throughout the year here (see pics).
