With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighborhood is the very heart of Barcelona. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.

Passeig del Colom is a big boulevard - along Port Vell - from The Rambla to Barceloneta.
This boulevard is - like other boulevards in Barcelona - impressive.
If you walk on Passeig del Colom: Take the sidewalk to the harbour-side and get the best view.

A wonderful place for walking with a lot of attractions and one of them is a monument to Colombus (1882-1888).
I love to walk nearby the sea.

this avenue streches from the Columbus monument to Barceloneta. It offers great views of the waterfront. Many people walk there, because it is a nice stroll

We walked from barceloneta to dandes along this passage way along the sea and the beach. Many segway and bikes, many families enjoying the weather. Some restaurants across the street also. Nice walk indeed worth the visit.

This walk connects Las Ramblas to El Born and further on then you can get to Barcelonetta. It's very open and sunny with a bit of a view of the marina. There are a number of connecting walkways to the marina, but none of them were open when I was there. There is little tourist traffic on this walk, so it is quite nice because of that.

Lovely, large boulevard area around the Columbus Monument. Linking Las Ramblas to the port area, particularly Port Vell, this is a beautiful area to stroll around - very pleasant and worth visiting.
