This broad street (I think it is an old river bed) is a must-go on your trip to BCN as it links the city center to the old neighborhoods, the center of tourism and lots of great food. I love the old Boqueria market along the way. Lots of souvenir shopping here.

The street is considered the main street in the Eixample district. This is one of the most fashionable streets in Barcelona, where a lot of fashion boutiques of Spanish brands and many shops representing European brands are concentrated. There is also a good selection of restaurants.

If you are a walker then this plaza is for you. It is not only full of sights but also provides access to the surrounding neighborhoods of Gotic and Rava. There are three metro stops evenly paced along the route from the Colon Monument to Catalunya when you need to travel. Having a hotel room here is a great place to center your stay in the city.

Its meant to be one of the great streets in Europe, but I was just a little underwhelmed by it. Only here for a day on a cruise stopover, it is still one of the highlights of Barcelona, but doesn't really justify the hype. Spent an hour or so walking the length up to the top square, the pedestrian street is full of small cafes, bars, stalls, and the few performing artists, and street vendors. Still worth a visit ...

One of my favorite areas in the city because you can go from the Gracia neighborhood, continue along the Rambla and arrive at Plaza Cataluña. Not only on the boulevard there is a lot of atmosphere but also in the surrounding streets.

Best place to watch the world go by. There are lots of shops, but the vendors in the middle of the street which is a pedestrian walkway are far more interesting. There is a flower section and this runs right by the market.

Many fashion stores and cafes. Some good restaurants. Recommended to spend a nice afternoon. Children can get bored.

If you have a fear of crowds, I would strongly suggest visiting this area in the morning or off-season. It can get really crowded really fast. Be very careful with your belongings as well since this area is known for thieves and pickpocketers. It's extremely touristy, very crowded, but I still highly recommend a visit here if you get the chance.

Came on a school trip in April 2018 and we loved it! The shops are lovely and the walk down Las Ramblas is a must visit. WE were warned about pick pockets and to carry backpacks (probably all bags) on our front as they can cut open your bag and take things without you knowing. Be cautious of this, however you don't feel in danger whilst you're there! It feels safe and bustling. Beware of con artists too; a man gave us all roses then asked for money off us, so if people offer you something for free don't accept it! This is an amazing Spanish city to visit and I'd 100% recommend! Just be careful and make sure you know where all your belongings are. Very safe for teens, we were 13/14 when we visited and were never bothered when we were in groups on our own (without teachers).
