Back in Barcelona, La Boadas is a must. Almost hidden away on the edge of las Ramblas, this is a traditional cocktail bar of the highest order.

A step back in time with outstanding service and beautiful drinks. Almost so good you want to keep it a secret! Will definitely be visiting again on future trips to Barcelona - one of the highlights of our 5 days here!

This is a hidden gem just off the main La Rambla. It's slightly out of all of the hassle of the Rambla and as soon as you step you inside you feel like your in a totally different place. It's like a step back in time but in a good way. Very friendly staff and absolutely amazing cocktails.

Small but friendly bar, great cocktails. The three lads behind the bar spoke great English and mixed us up some great drinks

As the oldest cocktail bar in Barcelona and being just off the Rambla, was expecting it to be packed on a Saturday but it was fine - you actually feel like you're being transported back in time especially seeing the waiters uniforms and the fact that the bar hasn't had a makeover. Oh yes, the cocktails - they really are... More

This super cocktail bar is tucked into the corner of a street (really an alley) at the north end of the La Rambla. Immediately on entering you get a great ambiance of a cheerful, enjoyable crowd being served up cocktails by a team of highly professional bartenders. A lot of the enjoyment comes from observing the bartenders in action and/or... More

Staying in La Rambla

Neighborhood Profile
La Rambla
Barcelona's most famous street was once a dry riverbed. Now, La Rambla is a 1200-meter boulevard, and a major draw for visitors. During the day, La Rambla fills with pedestrians, some of which stroll past impressive human statues and artists while others take a break to people-watch while enjoying a drink at one of the many terraces. Housed here is the iconic Boqueria Market that offers one of the most varied and appetizing selections of local produce and specialty meats and treats. While it’s important for tourists to keep an eye on their belongings at all times, this area is most safely explored in the daytime and is a must see for everyone who visits.
