Great traditional cocktail bar

Forget menus. Know what you want. Good crowd, great vibe. Waiters as old as the decor and very knowledgeable and patient....

Sat at bar he just ignored me for ages until I had to ask him for a drink. He acted superior and was most unfriendly. I know others rave about this place but I do not see the attraction - what bartender ignores someone sitting at bar. Most Spanish I have met have been very friendly but not here. Being... More

This is the coolest place ever. My wife and I fell in love with it. It's an extremely small and simple space, but we were lucky enough to get a seat at the bar on 2 separate occasions. We could have sat there and watched the bartenders all night if the drinks weren't so strong. First of all, there is... More

Surprisingly found here getting out of the random rain in September 2015. Barcelona impressed me a lot but here was by far one of the best bars I have ever been in. Small, quiet but lively with top class service and drinks. So impressed and if I'm ever in Barcelona again Itl be the first place I go. I don't... More

We visited this cocktail bar just off La Rambla. It's said to be the oldest cocktail bar in Barcelona. There was a big group of us but that did not put the bar man off who was entertaining and efficient at producing the 9 cocktails we ordered. Cocktails were lovely and he also improvised with some cocktails to make them... More

Been twice, and a real gem. Beautiful interior, and lots of class. However, the barman who served us was uninterested in providing friendly service, and was rude to the point of contemptuous at our ignorance. We don't all spend our time in cocktail bars and a little friendly interaction would make this place unmissable. Won't return

We stumbled on this cocktail bar on our way back to our hotel - we didn't leave until 2am. The atmosphere was great, busy but chilled out if that makes sense. You could actually here yourself talk! The cocktails, at 10 euros each, were amazing. Very talented bar staff who make great tasting cocktails. The bar itself has interesting decor,... More

What a top find. Really good and attentive barman. You can order whatever cocktail you want. Is around 10 euro a cocktail which isn't too bad. Would highly recommend.

Very small bar, nice atmosphere, not cheap but good size drinks. No menu for cocktails but lots of choice of alcohol to choose from

Hidden on a corner off the tourist trap of the Ramblas this place has been serving killer cocktails since 1933 - The bar is small intimate and classy, the bartender's wear tuxedos and no their stuff - no list of drinks, no beers just ask for what you want and then get it served to perfection. Add the laid back... More

Staying in La Rambla

Neighborhood Profile
La Rambla
Barcelona's most famous street was once a dry riverbed. Now, La Rambla is a 1200-meter boulevard, and a major draw for visitors. During the day, La Rambla fills with pedestrians, some of which stroll past impressive human statues and artists while others take a break to people-watch while enjoying a drink at one of the many terraces. Housed here is the iconic Boqueria Market that offers one of the most varied and appetizing selections of local produce and specialty meats and treats. While it’s important for tourists to keep an eye on their belongings at all times, this area is most safely explored in the daytime and is a must see for everyone who visits.
