We initially had issues splitting our bill 4 ways, but after we decided to go somewhere else, they were able to accommodate us. Food was good, but would just caution that compared to Canadian standards, they cook their meat a little more. So for example if you’re looking for Medium Rare, ask for Rare.

Great little cocktail bar at top of las ramblas. No menu but they make up any you ask. Cost 10euro each - seriously potent. Unlimited nuts included. Lots of locals there and great ambience.

Stuck at a loose end we searched online for somewhere to get a decent drink and this came up. From the minute we entered it was an experience. The two servers were friendly and knowledgeable and served me the perfect gin and tonic, they came up with several gorgeous cocktails for my fella and even warned me (nicely) to keep... More

Look for an unassuming wooden door off La ramblas, blink and you'd miss it! Lovely small bar, all wooden panels, its been there since the 1930's, and has a lovely atmosphere. They don't have a menu, which is brilliant, the bartenders are in a tux and bowtie (brilliant) and you say what kind of drink you like, for example we... More

I've never been one to drink cocktails, unless offered one at a party or an event, but as a friend recommended I tried this bar, I thought I would give it a try and pop in for one. The bar itself feels almost as though it's from another time, with little to show of the modern world apart from maybe... More

This place is a throwback to a bygone age where speakeasies ruled the world.. . . .come here for a classic drink in classic ambiance. This place is my fav bar in barcelona in a city full of them

Very professional bartender. Tiny, cosy, atmospheric cocktail bar. Very historic feeling. When we came in, I had a coughing fit and the bartender immediately produced a glass of water with ice and lime. His mixing technique for the vodka martini was theatrical. He also made a delicious Tom Collins. There is no menu - you just ask for what you... More

Found this little place on here and we were very impressed. Proper old fashioned with bartenders with bow ties on and some proper measures (seriously big) No menu here but all the cocktails we asked for were mixed up no problem, these guys know their booze and cocktails. Would highly recommend

Don't ask for a menu - they don't have one! If you don't have a signature cocktail, don't fret. Simply tell the bartender what kind of alcohol and flavors you like and they will surely make you a very original cocktail. Not a cheap place, but a fun place to experience. We had two rounds here and they were some... More

As soon as we came in, we felt we were taken back in time! Unique decor, the bartenders wearing tuxedos! Although there is no menu be prepared to be surprised by very knowledgable bartenders who will create a cocktail to your liking! This bar is definitely one of my favourites and is a must visit in Barcelona!

Staying in La Rambla

Neighborhood Profile
La Rambla
Barcelona's most famous street was once a dry riverbed. Now, La Rambla is a 1200-meter boulevard, and a major draw for visitors. During the day, La Rambla fills with pedestrians, some of which stroll past impressive human statues and artists while others take a break to people-watch while enjoying a drink at one of the many terraces. Housed here is the iconic Boqueria Market that offers one of the most varied and appetizing selections of local produce and specialty meats and treats. While it’s important for tourists to keep an eye on their belongings at all times, this area is most safely explored in the daytime and is a must see for everyone who visits.
