Neighborhood: La Rambla
Barcelona's most famous street was once a dry riverbed. Now, La Rambla is a 1200-meter boulevard, and a major draw for visitors. During the day, La Rambla fills with pedestrians, some of which stroll past impressive human statues and artists while others take a break to people-watch while enjoying a drink at one of the many terraces. Housed here is the iconic Boqueria Market that offers one of the most varied and appetizing selections of local produce and specialty meats and treats. While it’s important for tourists to keep an eye on their belongings at all times, this area is most safely explored in the daytime and is a must see for everyone who visits.

Best moijto and made some amazing friends!
Sep 2019 • Couples
The staff were lovely. The 1 litre mojito for 10 euros was the best I tasted all holiday. We returned twice in our 3 night stay. Lovely little cosy bar if your not bothered about the busyness but still very central.

Nice place in center to have a drink
Sep 2017 • Couples
We went there because of the prices of drinks. But we were more than pleased with bartenders (owners?) and people around too! A girl told us about the history of this street (quite spicy) and we had a really great time at this tiny place:)
Sangria grande 7€, and it is really grande;)

A great little hole in the wall to grab a quick cerveza or 4 as you head down la rambla. Highly recommend.

Tiny Kiosk - Lots of Character!
Mar 2017 • Couples
This little tiny bar is tucked down a side street of the Rambla - it has about 6 stools outside. A friend recommended us to visit and it was such a fun experience. The bar staff were welcoming and really friendly - and extremely affordable. The mojito was really good, well made and and bar staff gave me a rose to keep the rose touts away (I think). It was one of the most enjoyable bits of the Rambla as I met some lovely and interesting people and the drinks had kick.

Smallest Bar in the World?
Apr 2017 • Couples
Probably, but not relevant, the best Sangria I have ever had. Truth be told, I had a shot of the Cazalla Con Pasas (unchanged since 1912 apparently). Yum, right up there with home made hooch at it's best. Be careful what you have here, but go, it's worth it. I think it is close to the smallest Bar on the planet, it's 1/2 the size of the infamous tequila bar in Cabo San Lucas.

Avoid turists in la Rambla
Jan 2016 • Friends
Clearly la Rambla can be kind of disappointing if you do not want spend time with tourists and gibberish entertainment. Not much can be done in that respect but going to this bar - claimed to be the oldest, and the smallest - is a very good alternative.

Get a sangria, and then a mojito -- before going back in the middle of the crowd.

Tiny little bar with lots of character

Essentially just a kiosk, but the service and atmosphere is second to none. Also very reasonably priced beer. Had a great time here in December.

Smallest pub ever
Nov 2015 • Couples
This place is down a side street towards the bottom of Las Ramblas the 2 staff are nice & friendly but the bar is minute, you sit outside with clear tarpaulin around you but it's intriguing and worth a visit, for central Barcelona the prices are very reasonable plus you get a bowl of crisps or olives, very hospitable!

Best introduction to Barcelona - a must visit!
Aug 2015
My friend & I are two kiwis living in Melbourne, Australia. We know a good bar when we see one! This wee spot established in 1912 is a must visit! You won't be ripped off like other tourist spots - it is located right off la ramblas main strip. Mao is the coolest bar tender & party animal. If you want good advice on local spots, he is the man to see! Mao helped us during our 3 day stay & we are forever thankful.
Please stop by & have a glass of sangria for 2.50 euro!! It is truly a must see!
