La Patente is the new cooking school in Barcelona. We host participative workshops and short experiences about cooking, gastronomy and everything related to spend a nice time around a table. We love to create gatherings on our cozy and nice venue...more
I came across this small locale a few days back and thought that it would be a great idea to try out a class for fun. I'm the absolute worst at cooking and needed some real lessons. And I must say that it was worth...More
We were a group of 26 people and decided to do a cooking workshop as a team building activity. The experience was great: everyone was involved in different tasks forming small groups to cook together all the recipes, guided by professional chefs, sharing a really...More
I took a couple of practical workshops within La Patente, one was a Peruvian food workshop and the other a more intensive, Japanese course. The experience on both cases was great. Teacher and chef Manel Guirado proved to be very helpful and patient while explaining...More

Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district, Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best
exemplified by the comfortable and lavish five-star hotels that flank the divine and modernistic buildings from some of the world’s most recognized architects such as Gaudi and Montaner.
