Neighborhood: Barrio Gòtico (Barri Gòtic)
With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighborhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.

Wow. This place is out of this world!
We were looking for bars over the weekend, Feb 21st-24th, with so many to choose from just in the Gothic Quarter alone. And what a find. It's reminiscent of the FAB Cafe, Manchester, UK - everyone should visit.
So, myself, girlfriend and daughter had read the reviews of Polaroid and it sounded right up our street, literally being only a few minutes from our hostal.
The bar just from the outside looks enticing, and so welcoming. It is a little bit dark, but once you're inside you're surrounded by so much cool stuff and memories from the 80's + 90's. If you grew up in the 80's this place will transport you back to your childhood. The decor is fantastic, everywhere you look there's something else to make you smile. And the screens showing music video's just add that little bit extra.
Drinks are a plenty, a varied selection of beers, spirits to get lost in and suitably named cocktails to fulfill your dreams!!
And as it turns out, when you get some drinks, you also get some freshly made popcorn.
The guy behind the bar(wish I'd gotten his name) was so friendly, and helpful when choosing drinks. Infact he's probably the friendliest person I've ever met.
As usual in any European bar I've visited, the measures of spirits are very substantial. Makes the drinks strong, but the nights enjoyable.
We made this one of our favourite bars over the weekend and look forward to heading back when we visit the city again.
Don't miss out on this venue, you'll be sorry!!

Great drinks (yummy and good prices), awesome music and decoration (80s/90s - so basically a dream), and they play movies on certain nights (🎶”Fame! I’m gonna live foreverrrr!!”🎶). There is no designated dancing area, but there is a lot of space. Jorje (bartender) is a fantastic guy! Quick service, so friendly, and super helpful for those of us trying to learn Spanish (a good teacher before the alcohol and then even better after! Haha!) I will come back every time I’m in Barcelona!!

Loved this spot! They do movie nights a few nights a month and give out free popcorn with any drink (whether there’s a movie on that night or not!)
They had me sold when they played the strokes and blur back to back.
A fun chalkboard in the bathroom to get creative with, and comic strips on the table tops (Spider-Man etc) to keep your mind occupied if your company isn’t doing the job.
Oh, cheap and delicious cocktails too!

We quite liked this place, but it was let down by the fact it took about 20mins to get a drink. There was a single barman who couldn't keep up with more than 1 drink every 5 mins..

Everything about this place appealed from the off. The old movie posters, VHS tapes, the action figure displays. And then I find out they are showing the movie Clueless, projected onto the walls!
As someone who isn't a partier but likes to go out and socialise the atmosphere was perfect. Reasonable prices, comfortable surroundings, a fun and vibrant place perfect to grab a quick drink or hang out for the night.

Polaroid is in a "hidden" little street that's normally fairly quiet even on the busiest nights, which is quite a find for Barcelona. Nice decoration, chill atmosphere and good prices.

- it's like a hidden bar, that only the lucky ones can find
- cool music
- good prices, not very expensive
- we went on a sunday night and they played a classic movie on the wall, everyone was quiet and enjoying the movie. They even had an offer of hot dog + popcorn + drink for 5€
- amazing friendly staff
- we are definitely coming back
- if you want to know which movies abd when they will play them, check their facebook page

Very interesting concept, decoration, music, big variety of drinks, only bad thing is that is smelling because of the closed doors and no windows
Also self service

Fun 80's theme bar! Great drinks watching Footloose in Spanish, with Star Wars ships overhead and Pac Man Art.

Chill, no fancy stuff bar with the mood that genuinely feels like they're having fun above all else. Different music, ok drinks and average prices

Good afternoon,
I am heading to Barcelona at the end of September for a stag do and your venue has been recommended to me by a friend.
Can you please confirm though whether you allow:
1) Entry to large groups of men (our party will consist of 10)
2) Fancy dress
Many thanks
John
