Review of: 2-hour Forbidden Walking Tour of Barcelona
I had booked the walking tour in advance. When I got there as I was the only person the guide did not want to run the tour. So I went home again. TERRIBLE customer service. Guide was also unfortunately American and not a local.

Review of: 2-hour Forbidden Walking Tour of Barcelona
I usually don't write reviews. Furthermore, they say brevity is the soul of wit. So I will make it short and sweet: Leon is the reason this walking tour was the best I have ever had. Very eloquent, humorous, knowledgeable and with great attention to the needs of the group. If you get the chance to book a walking tour with him, you definitely should. Thank you, Leon!…

I did 2 tours over the weekend, the Modernisme tour with Andrew (paid tour) and the Barcelona general tour (“free” tour) with Leon. Both Leon and Andrew were very knowledgeable about the subjects and enthusiastic in their delivery. It was entertaining through and through. This was my second trip to Barca, and I learned so much more about the city after these tours which really helped put into context the development of this complex and complicated city. We were fortunate to be on the first tour guided by Patrick Reyes since the end of lockdown. It was a great tour, giving us a potted history of Barcelona since the arrival of the Romans, the period of the visigoths, Wilfried the Hairy and Charles the Bald. You can see I paid attention. Patrick showed us places of significance, such as the Roman walls, cathedral and viceroy’s palace, weaving their history into the tapestry that became the Barcelona of today. We learned a great deal but also had lots of fun. This tour and guide are highly recommended by me. Two hours very well spent.…

We did the free walking tour with Brendan and it was a lovely way to spend a few hours. Being Irish, he naturally has the gift of the gab, but he also has a wealth of knowledge related to Barcelona and is both educational and entertaining.
