The area
Address
Neighborhood: El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.

Nice place close to the ramblas, cool atmosphere, cheap prices and good food. Would definitely recommend! As breakfast and lunch!

Laid-back place for tapas & vermouth
Mar 2020
We tried this place as the third stop on our Barcelona food tour, where we tried our first Spanish tapas and vermouth. Our guide ordered for us--meat croquettes, patatas bravas, iberico ham and Barcelona "bruschetta." All were delicious. We sat outside across the street under a giant tent (there is inside seating and restrooms available too). Very cool, laid back atmosphere in the Raval neighborhood. A few days later while exploring the area in more depth, we stopped in a second time for a quick fix of patatas bravas--delicious again!

Incredibly rude female server
Jul 2019 • Friends
When my drink was served it was almost slammed on the bar and the measure was very poor. I returned later and was served by the same thin angry woman and was told that they were closed, despite just having served some other ppl and then I watched as others were served after me. Very disappointed as I made the effort to order in Spanish and be friendly and it really came across as that I wasn’t Spanish that I wasn’t welcome. How disappointing. I would like to point out that the barman was lively when we were chatting to him - such a shame about his co-worker

Came here on my son’s recommendation who is a bit of a foodie - sorry to say I couldn’t see the attraction. Service was so laid back it bordered on rude and whilst the food was OK it didn’t stand out - the setting was also not the best. There is a sit in area and outside the corner of the street is a graffiti covered take away counter from which I would guess the satisfaction factor is better.

Awful

The menu looked appealing but the ham and cheese tapas was a toasted sandwich, the squid in black ink turned up in a burger bun, a glass of cava and a vermouth - 35 euros!

Great small place - outdoor seating

We stopped here for vermouth and some tapas, what a small gem. Had some lovely dishes, sitting nicely outside. We would have walked by this place if it was not for going there with a local. Lovely!

We finally stopped at this great little dive after walking by every time we left our hotel. It was always packed with locals. Great juices for breakfast, house made vermouth with your tapas. Super yummy, glad we finally stopped in.

Stunning so typical

Excellent find! A little jewel of a tapas bar which is easy to miss. Tapas are excellent, patatas brava, anchovy tapas are highly recommended and there's another tapa which is toasted bread with anchovies, alioli and green peppers which is to die for. Service good on the whole but waiters are run off their feet with orders so sometimes difficult to attract their attention.
Perfect typical Spanish Tapas Bar
