Only popped in here late one night to break up a stroll back to hotel but it reinvigorated the evening. Don't be put off by the exterior - the atmosphere, drinks and music all great. Recommended.

Cheap mojitos of a reasonable standard, would have liked a bit more brown sugar. Great vibe and a good atmosphere. Hard to find but worth the hunt

Started the night here and the bar looks slightly dingy, but it's lively and has a wide selection of Gins and cocktails. Would recommend to start/end your night.

The place was recommended by a friend and we came here. The atmosphere was very nice, the same was the gin. However, the mojito was very sweetie than normal. At the end of the night, learning that they do not accept credit card was not good and we had to look for ATMs before leaving the place!

After wondering the streets, we stopped here as this place looked appealing, as well as red. It was fairly crowded, but welcoming. The kitchen was closed. After a few drinks the appeal started to fade, and the red lights grow more annoying. Time to move on.

Visited this bar after seeing it on TripAdvisor - fantastic mojitos, great value at 4 euros. The staff were very friendly, unlike staff you often find in UK bars, would most definitely visit again with a group of friends.

€4 for a mojito which has kick to it! Also was offered to join the bar staff for a shot (on the house). Full of young people - more tourists than locals but still good vibes.

We went to this place because of the reviews and ended up having a fantastic night. They literally have every kind of gin you can think of and more! Their mojitos are super strong and €4 so we started there to ease ourselves in! The balsamic and black pepper gin with tonic was our favourite it sounds so weird but... More

Went there for after dinner drinks with my boyfriend and absolutely loved it! The bartender really knows his business, he made caipirinhas as good as you get them in Brazil. And they were really cheap - only 5 euros. The ambiance is very good, dimmed and a fancy up lit bar. Will definitely return next time I visit Barcelona.

We stopped by this Barcelona-must after dinner. The tiny streets winding up to the bar are amazing in themselves. The bar is fairly tiny so expect a crowd. They have a ton of infused gins that make wonderful gin and tonics. We don't like gin and tonic but we ordered two or three each because these were phenomenal. Lemongrass/Pepper was... More

Thanks for the review! Rubi does get crowded, so best to come early for a seat at the bar or at one of our tables. Glad you liked the gin and the mojitos, hope to see you again soon! More

Staying in El Born / La Ribera

Neighborhood Profile
El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighborhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. Here you'll find historical and cultural attractions such as the popular Picasso Museum and the Gothic cathedral La Santa Maria del Mar, where you just might be able to catch a traditional Catalan wedding.
