FIRST FOOTBALL MATCH HERE FOR 14 YEARS
This is a very nice stadium baring in mind the Barcelona v Tottenham pre season friendly I went to was the first football match played here for 14 years. The stadium is open planned except for a partly covered roof on one side, there's a clock tower feature with two horseman either side behind one of the goals. Outside there's a large concourse that wraps around the whole stadium but it's at the front where you can get the best photos. Barcelona are playing all their matches at this stadium in the forthcoming season due to the Camp Nou being refurbished so this is a good chance to visit this stadium for a match. The prices of tickets and food within the ground are extortionate as Barcelona are hugely in debt due to in part Lionel Messi's wages over many years at the club and the fans are the ones baring the brunt of it.

A really nice stadium with the Olympic Legacy thrown in. Great for a football match.A really nice stadium with the Olymp
We attended to watch the Barcelona Granada football match one evening. It is a really impressive stadium with a not too bad walk from the Espagna Metro station. The building is very concrete-ey, however it is set out in a very basic and straightforward way that is easy to follow. The seating was relatively comfy and the staff serving food were very friendly. We were not too far from the Olympic flame and clock at one side of the stadium and the views down to the match were nowhere near as bad as I thought they would be, having sat at the back of Wembley and West Ham in the past - never do it! Overall, we had a great experience, and would definitely recommend it to others

    A Springsteen Concert
First of all I'm never going to give anywhere Springsteen plays less than a 5 star review because he could elevate anywhere. Fortunately the venue was excellent, even the walk up to the stadium had some great views. I had some trouble locating my seat due to lack of stewards but when I was seated I had a great view and obviously the sound was amazing.

Worth of visit, even without any special event
There are so much to see and do in Montjuic hill, that it's well worth of visit, when you are in Barcelona. It would've been nice to take the cable car there, but they start to operate 10am and our Cruise ship was on dock already at 8am. After walking around stadium area, we walk towards huge National Museum and from there steps down towards Placa de Catalunya

    Stadium steeped in history!
It's just a stadium, until you think of its history. It was originally built for the 1929 Barcelona World Exhibition, later refurbished in hopes of use for the 1936 Olympics (but which were instead awarded to Berlin), then refurbished again for the 1992 Summer Olympics. Currently famously used as a venue for concerts (including Bruce Springstein) and various sporting events. The stadium now seats about 54,000.

Reviewing this as a football stadium after recently attending a game - it's a dreadful experience. It's a long walk up to the ground from the city center but there are escalators most of the way. Once inside, there's zero protection from the elements, little leg room, uncomfortable seats, little signage and you can barely see what's happening in front of you, let alone the far side of the pitch.

Food/drink really expensive too.

Wandering into this stadium was an absolute delight. It just oozes history, from the 1929 Expo to the 1992 Olympics to hosting Espanyol in La Liga for many years. Completely free to just walk in. There is a cafe and a souvenir shop inside if you do want to spend some money. A great contrast to the extortionate cost of touring the Camp Nou, and, of course, it will be home to FC Barcelona for the 2023/24 season (that will be interesting).

this is a free attraction , tickets are not required. We visited barcelona olympic museum and this stadium is located adjacent to the museum. I watched 1992 olympic when I was a school kid and visiting this place brought me those happy memories like Carl Lewise, Ben Johnson, Sergey Bubka. There is a restaurant inside that you can have a drink and snack while enjoying the view of stadium.
Keep half and hour to one hour for this place. this is located just walking distance from National art museum- Barcelona.

The original Olympic Stadium in Barcelona was built for the 1929 World Expo, likewise many other things around on the Montjuic hill.
After that, it was renovated for the 1992 Olympics held here.
It is one of many other attractions on Montjuic and this one's for free. You can enter the stadium, walk a limited part of it and read interesting plaques with pics depicting its history.

We decided to get a metro and then the fenicular up to Parc De Montjuic, we had got a travel card for our time in Barcelona to get around on the metro and also covers you on the fenicular. Well worth getting.
Anyway we wandered down to see the Olympic Stadium which was quite something to see even when it is just empty. there is no charge to go and have a look at it.

Lovely to visit this famous stadium from the 1992 Olympics. Its free to just walk in at anytime. I got a taxi to the entrance and your greeted with a security member welcoming you. Of course you can't walk everywhere but you start at the end of the stadium where the statue & flame is. You can walk along to the corner, which gives you plenty of room to take photos, which you can see the whole stadium. So glad I went to see a bit of sporting history. You can also walk outside the stadium to view the rest of the olympic plaza, Saint Jordi indoor complex and the Calatrava Tower (flame).
