Students, artists and political types make their home here, and everyone's welcome to hang out at Placa del Sol, a popular square day or night with its cafes, bars and 19-century architecture.

We visited on a Sunday and it was very quiet. The shops were not open, there were few people and bars were hard to find. My advice is go during the week!

Nice neighborhood feel with lots of local shops, plazas and places to eat. This is North of the Born and has a much more open and less intense feel to it. Lovely architecture and less touristy.

I would recommend that you take the line L3(green line) and stop at station Fontana. It's the best way to go to Gracia.!
