This is a large and historical area near the beach in Barcelona and you can skip the beach and walk the streets with the old buildings and many tapas bars and restaurants. Well worth a visit and not a usual place for tourists.

Another nice area near Port Olimpic with many restaurants, tapas bars, al fresco dining areas, nightclubs, marinas and the beach. I would like to visit on a dry sunny day and not in cold overcast conditions.

The area of Barceloneta is really nice and relaxed. They have the boardwalk, casino, some nightclubs, many restaurants, and some boats in the marina that are pretty. It’s clean and well spread out too!

Beach, surfing, enjoying a bite or a meal, shopping, historical visits, etc. are some of most common activities. But also good for a stroll or jogging, The time to spend is very variable - so very flexible.
