Quite a fantastic spread of man made beach. Typical european cafes and gelatos galore. Wonderful to see the sunset over the ocean. Its not that big, so doesn't take much time to explore most of its potential

We came here in the late afternoon & that's a very good moment to enjoy sunset. There are lots of restaurant & bar along the beach. Just take a seat & enjoy great atmosphere!

Took a detour to see what the beach looked like. Was a little disappointed as it was a man made beach which didn’t have what I’m used to. There were a couple of nice street vendors on the walk but that’s about it.

As small as Barceloneta is, it is of historical significance in the great Catalonia. It sure has something for everyone. The cool breeze and amazing restaurants here made it worthwhile.

We enjoyed walking along this beautiful area filled with happy locals and tourists enjoying the winter sun. Sand masterpieces lined the shore and the people selling their bags and rugs in the path were polite and didn’t pester anyone. Some brave souls were even swimming...More

This beach has a beautiful view of the sea and landscape. The sea is clear and swimmable if you wish. The sand is little tiny stones, not soft but you can easily sit on it comfortably. The beach is surrounded by many restaurants and bars...More

We didn’t get to stay long here. The highlight of the beach for us was definitely the building towards the end of the beach. Other cool things were the amazing sand sculptures the people built. There are also many seafood restaurants nearby if you want...More

Great walk along the beach with some good food options along the way. Recommend Cata Lun Ya along the beach side. Again watch out for pick pockets

Originally a fisherman’s quarter, this quaint area
can’t escape its small village feel: laundry hanging
over the narrow streets, old ladies clamoring at each
other from their balconies and elder gentlemen playing
games on short wooden benches gossiping the day away,
Barceloneta could double as a film set. Artists line
the boardwalk displaying their magnificently detailed
sand structures making this the most visited beach in

I stayed at Hotel Montcada on Montcada, a lovely boutique hotel on the cusp of the Gothic and Medieval quarters on left and right, but just a short and nice walk down the street - about 15 minutes max, to Barcelonetta. It... More
