This beach is overcrowded, I personally prefer the opposite. Also saw some topless women which is not appropriate for everyone and for children. Not the type of beach you go to have a serene relaxing experience

Over crowded with tourists and people trying to sell you things. There are also some topless ladies and so this is to be taken into account if you travel with children like us and believe in more conservative values such as modesty in public.

Visiting during weekend and high-season might be over-crowded as i was surprised by the amount of people during Thursday in April. BTW the was was really chilli, but still a nice pick-nick afternoon :)

Made sure to stop here as part of a family trip to Barcelona. This is a great beach. I didn’t realize it was man-made. It goes from sand-to-rocks-to-pebbles as you get closer to the water. The water was beautiful and clear. There are a good...More

Ok sandy beach with clear water and good for people watching, but full of sellers, a lot of rubbish (bottles and beer cans) which doesn’t seem to be cleared up and expensive (and rusty) sun-beds (£10 each). Don’t have experience to compare to other Barcelona...More

Went last night to have dinner with seafood. Lots of activity there beginning with rock and roll from the 60’s. Then after watching the football of Spain CS Portugal tie and eating dinner we saw first. The skaters go by with lights on their skates,...More

I went to the famous Barceloneta with high expectations but I was disappointed. Just a small strip of sand, crowded with dusty sand.

The beach is okay to hang out for a little bit. There are a top on people and it is a man made beach. The sand is very dusty.

An awesome beach for swimming, sunbaking and people watching. The waters were calm thanks to the port Olympic creating a breakwater and man made blocks. Mostly a sand beach with some small rocks/pebbles. Beach activities include beach volleyball and gym equipment. A great place.

The weather is warming up but the water will still be really cold due to its vastness! But as with most seas get in, move around and you’ll be ok I’m sure! And have someone with a towel and a cocktail ready! Xx
