The area
Address
Neighborhood: El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.

Got Free Entry before half 1, the place was empty inside until around half 2 when more locals started coming in. Dance floor wasn't really pumping till 3 o'clock.

The music was very progressive, if you're expecting to hear heavy techno drops, somewhat similar to adam beyer then I suggest you go elsewhere.

Also, contrary to popular belief this club is incredibly gay, if you're a bloke on the dance floor expect to be groped vigorously, I strongly suggest keeping your backs to the wall.

Other than the bad aids, it was a good night!

My first club experience in Barcelona and the worst club i have been to ever.
Waaayyy too small. It feels like it fits 100 people over two dance floors and there is a constant line of about another 50+ waiting outside. People probably spend 15 mins inside, get completely squished and shoved around, because everyone is trying to push their way either to the front or back out, then people go outside again to take a break from being squished.
Not enough space to even stand, defintely not to dance. Worst way to spend 15€. We wanted to leave after a few minutes.
I actually talked to some attractive girls, and had no issues with the bouncer, and didnt hate the music, but I will NEVER come back, EVEN IF IT WAS FREE.

Yesterday I wanted to show my friends Moog. We waited in a line for a long time and when we finally came to the door the guard kicked my boyfriend out of the line for speaking loudly. My boyfriend has AD/HD and sometimes doesn't realize when he is speaking loudly. We thought it was really unfair how my boyfriend was kicked out of the line. The guard did not give him a warning that he might be kicked out of the line.
I used to go to Moog all the time and drag a lot of friends there. And we are big spenders. Last time I went to Moog I spent about 300 euros.
I really do not tolerate how this guard treated my boyfriend. Next time I'm taking my friends somewhere else and we will spend our money elsewhere. Moog should really should make sure that their staff treats their customers fairly.

I'm not happy about how the doorman treated my boyfriend yesterday. My boyfriend has AD/HD and he tends to speak loudly sometimes. We were waiting in a line outside and we were almost about to get in when the doorman suddenly drags my boyfriend out of the line and tells him that he can't go inside.
I would have shown this more understanding if the doorman had said something to him earlier. He did ask everyone to be quiet at some point, it was not specifically toward my boyfriend. Throwing him out of the line was very uncalled for. Especially when we were just about to go inside.

I used to go to Moog every time I went out. And I used to bring people with me every time. I'm also a big spender. I spent about 300 euros the last time I went to Moog. It's important to treat customers fairly and with respect. Anything else is bad business and unprofitable.

I'm never going to Moog again.

We arrived at 1 am and the line was huge, when we finally got in, the amount of people was overwhelming, absolutely no space to dance or to exist at all, I didn’t last more than an hour, couldn’t stand being pushed and squeezed any longer.
The music was alright, tolerable Techno, but it gets boring after a while.
Has all the potential to be a great venue if the entrances were more limited so you could actually enjoy your time there.
Wouldn’t recommend. Disappointing experience for the price we paid.

My friends and I went there last saturday. Once inside (10 euoros each) I went to the bar to order for me and my friends. I ordered a beer and 2 rhum and coca. The bartender gave me a beer and two glasses with a ice cube (no rhum) and 2 bottles of coke, so I paid and then I was waiting for the rhum, and after 2 minutes I called the bartender telling her she forgot to put the rhum. She came and said:" no, you ordered 2 cokes and a beer no rhum and coke and she walked away", So I insisted, please can you put me some rhum I dont' want just coke, and she repeated that that was what I order and she wouldnt' give it to me, So insisted 1 more time, at the point she called the security guys that were pushing me out and make me fall in the floor, once on the floor they started punching me in the face. The result in the images below

We went there as a group of five people looking for some good techno music to listen to, although the entrance was for 10 Euros and relatively cheaper than other clubs but I WOULD never go there again even if it was FREE. there was some kind of conspiracy happening between the people in there and they were ALL trying to steal from me and my friends!!!!! One girl actually put her hand in my back pocket and they signaled to the guy with us to leave us or they were going to kill him!!!!! At the end of the night we all realized that they all knew each other, and they were all trying to steal our purses, phones, etc. They look like you, they pretend to be you, they switch positions, they even switch people, but we were 5 people and we all had our eyes open. It was the worse experience and the worst night of my life, and all my friends life. I love techno and we all went there just too dance but the creepy/ dangerous vibes were unsettling and the mafia of Spanish people were definitely conspiring against us. I dont suggest anyone who is with only tourists to go, and although we hate mainstream music, i wish we wd have went to somewhere like PACHA or OPIUM were atleast we felt safe and we were around people who are there just to have fun like us. If you do go make sure you dont even have your phone because they are all OUT THERE TO GET YOU I swear. We ended up leaving almost running out after they threatened my friend.

Don't go to Moog unless you want to get robbed. I've lived in Barcelona 5 years and have never been a victim of the infamous pick-pocketers until last Saturday. I'm always extremely careful but when there's good music, I like to dance and "let go" a little bit which I should be allowed to do. Unfortunately, there are people counting on you to have fun and be a bit distracted (what we all look for when we go out) so they can steal your belongings.

Sure the music's great but it's located on a shady street and they let all kinds of people in. The night I was there, 4 other girls besides me were robbed in the same span of 10 minutes. All the sudden I started to see my belongings on the floor around me so immediately I checked inside my purse (which had been on my waist the entire night) and my wallet had been delicately removed without me even knowing.

I went to the security to complain and they had me write down my name, number and what the wallet looked like. As I was writing, another girl came around with the same story, then my good friend came by because they had stolen her camera. Then an employee whose only responsibility in the club is to find stolen and thrown-out again wallets (which for me sounded super suspicious) came over to help. He led me to the bar where they were keeping 2 other wallets that had also been stolen that night. Neither were mine.

I called the next night to see if my wallet had been located and it hadn't. However, the same 2 wallets were still in the bar...who doesn't retrieve their wallet after getting it stolen? It just sounded so odd to me that I started thinking it was a cover-up for the club to always have these same 2 wallets at the bar so customers could think that they actually help when in fact, they're in on it. I don't know, I've already given it too much thought but I can assure you that I won't ever be going back there and you shouldn't either, unless you want to be posted up at the wall the entire night making sure no one gets too close to you.
