This was our first time to see flamenco, and it just blew us away. We visited Tarantos on the recommendation of some friends, who said we need to see flamenco in a small venue. Well this place is really small. We were first in line for the Saturday night @ 9:30 show, so we got seats in the front row.... More

Wanted to see a flamenco show, the show itself is less than 30 minutes. Singers and dancers are very good, you pay 15Euros for entrance only, there is a bar inside where you can grab a drink. A good experience if you want to see a show without paying much in other places, as it all starts from 30Euros in... More

I had seen flamenco several times before and took now friends along. 30 min show: the female and male dancers gave a short intro to start. More than half of the time no dance at all. At the end the male dancer came out and made funny swimming like movements while tapping the floor with high heels.

I visited here while in Barcelona and found it a nice experience. It is quite dark inside and small but there is adequate seating. There is a mixture of Instrumental Music, Singing and Dancing to enjoy. The show lasts for half an hour but I wasn't rushed out of the door which is a nice change to going to some... More

We took our granddaughters here to get a taste of Flamenco dancers, we had our choice of 3 shows and chose the 9:30 performance, the show was only 30 minutes but it was just enough to experience the world of flamenco, there were 4 background performers, one with guitar, one with violin and 2 singers and fabulous woman and man... Intense! Beautiful! Passionate! There are several shows each evening, lasting 30 minutes apiece, a perfect length to couple with a romantic dinner in one of the assortment of restaurants surrounding the Plaza Real, a few short steps from Las Ramblas. The typical gipsy music accompaniment to Flamenco is well-performed by a quartet, where voice is a versatile instrument conveying emotions.... More

I've paid high prices more for flamenco, but this was perfect for someone who wants to experience a small dose at a very small price. The performers the night we were there were really good, the problem was a group of ladies who were part of a bachelorette party who were so loud and rude, obviously not understanding flamenco. We... We paid 15EUR for this half an hour show; bar was small and cramped and we had to stand up to watch as all the seats were taken (but they still sold tickets). The show was ok but I couldn't have watched any more than 30 mins, it was quite repetitive after a while!

Neighborhood Profile
Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)
With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighborhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local musicians lasting late into the night.
