We got our tickets off Barcelona Groupon which cost £24 for 2 adults. The zoo is lovely and the grounds are clean, plenty of places to have your picnics. The bears, monkeys and Hippos were just so beautiful and we could of stayed there hours...More
As we've been to Barcelona several times we decided on this trip to visit the zoo. It's not too far to walk from the centre, about a mile or so. The animals are well cared for and look happy. It's not a large zoo but...More
Visited Barcelona Zoo with my boyfriend in October. We are keen zoo visitors so wanted to try this one out. The zoo is easy to get too with the metro stops right outside. We visited at an off peak time so the zoo was very...More
Probably the worst kept zoo I have been too, animals have lost the will to live by the looks of it, no natural elements for them, small exclosures, I don’t even understand how they are aloud to keep their big cats on those rocks, the...More
It was a little expensive to get in but most zoos are. The guy at the front desk was very pleasant. Once we walked in it had trash on the ground, not a lot, but enough for me to notice. That was a common theme...More
We went here on a Sunday, can't say it was the best zoo experience I've had. The animals didn't seem to be in the best mindset with some of them just aimlessly walking back and forth in small enclosures. The dolphins enclosure seemed small too...More
The sounds of Marina Olympica's rocking boats and clicking mastheads swaying to and fro set an impressive backdrop for Ciutadella and Villa Olimpica. Follow the aromas of garlic, wine, and fresh local fish to the various restaurants running along the marina. A grand bronze fish statue soaring high above serves as a beacon to those searching for the renowned Casino Barcelona or the extremely popular nightclubs

Salou to Barcelona by train (6 Replies)
Two adults and two children visiting Salou (actually Cap Salou) next week and they wish to have a day trip to Barcelona Zoo. We have established that there is a train to Barcelona at 10.13 and it arrives at 11.51. Could anybody tell me what station in Barcelona to get off and how to get to the zoo from there. They do not want to use the travel reps trip as these are overpriced, also are there any independent local trave firms worth using out there? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Many...More

Nou Camp and Barcelona Zoo in August. (2 Replies)
Hi everyone, Myself and my boyfriend are just about to book our holiday to Salou for August and are looking to go on a day trip to Barcelona and go to Nou Camp and the Zoo. Are there excursion offices in Salou we could book by or is it best to book online before we go? Any tips would be greatly appreciated Thanks

When I was in salou last year I found that the excursion places were just the same price as the reps at the hotel really. I didn't try plana though. Me and my boyfriend are going back to salou in august and are doing the nou camp and fountains trip Ive found its more cheaper to book at my travel agents before we go .
