Go for a walk and forget the city

Great park, go by using the cable train and let yourself get lost in this amazing park. Combine it with the Miro Foundation (MUST SEE) and the palace turned in an art museum.

Went here on the tourist bus. Once we climbed to where the fort was if you didn't pay to enter there was no toilet or refreshments. We walked down and found a small cafe not overly priced. Go prepared and you will enjoy the city view

Sheer fluke we found ourselves at the end of the line on the metro, boarded the funicular and found ourselves on the cable car heading up to Montjuic. Stunning views from the fort over the port and beautiful gardens with artillery artifacts in and around the fort

This place is really good for people like nice views. You can see Barcelona from various points. I'd recommend to use Teleferic one way to go up to the hill (till Montjuic Castle). You can enjoy park going down from the hill. Teleferic price is 8.50 onr way and 12.50 both ways

Nice park to walk around, especially around the castle. Get the cable cars up to the castle for amazing views of the city and sea!

This is a lovely thing to do whilst in Barcelona especially if the weather is nice. You can get a cable car up to the too which in itself is fab as the views are great! At the top there is lots to do and places to eat and drink. There is a castle too that you can pay extra... More

I walked through the gardens en route to the National Catalonia Museum from the Miro Foundation. Unlike the rest of the parks, this place was a quiet and peaceful retreat from Holy Week festivities.

We visited here a few times when we were on the Hop on Hop off bus. The park has some beautiful plants and has a tropical feel about it. When you get up to the top there are some amazing views across Barcelona. The cable car also goes from up there and that is a fantastic experience too.

Staying in Montjuic

Neighborhood Profile
Montjuic
Beyond the four columns standing guard at the Plaça Espanya, beyond even the extravagant and colorful fountains guiding your way up the boulevard, stands the impressive and towering structure of the Palau Nacional, the national museum. At this very spot in front of the cascades of the central fountain, Freddie Mercury and Montserrat Caballe gave the performance of their lifetimes to welcome the 1992 Olympic Games to this magnificent city. And true to its anticipation, the games transformed the city, reimagining the mountain of Montjuic with the development of an arena, stadium, and many other sporting facilities that are open to visitors year-round. Surrounding the adjacent side of the plaza are well-established hotels catering to business guests and a shopping mall transformed out of a historic bullfighting arena.
