The view is amazing, only thing is that it is always crowded with tourists. If one is visiting Montserrat without planing for a hike, it is not that special. The hiking routes are great.

Came here with friends and had a private tour. This is about an hour south of the city but a very important place in the history of Catalonia. The architecture is ancient and beautifully done. And this is an important religious pilgrimage spot.

Train ride each way is one hour. Train leaves every hour. Too risky. However, it is a much better option than going to Gaudi church or even Picasso 's museum. All nice but this is special. Have a lovely trip!
