Address
Neighborhood: Barrio Gòtico (Barri Gòtic)
With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighborhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.

Waste of money
Oct 2016 • Couples
Avoid. Waste of money...a few poorly displayed bits of tatty rubbish. There are much better and free museums in Barcelona.

Waste of time and money, buy yourself an icecream instead. basically a dirty basement with broken things of no interest. the activities for kids were no excistend. Paid 22 euros for nothing.

Could be a lot better
Sep 2016 • Family
We were there 30 mins, and I am sure if we went through our house we could find more gadgets or attractions. Otherwise just put on QVC. Don't recommend but if you have nothing to do before your flight a bit of a laugh! Which cost us 30 euros! So not so funny!

Waste of time
Aug 2016 • Family
Very small, many things are not working, so, if there are any great ideas there it is hard to enjoy. I would say, if you pass over this place and have extra money to pay for the entrance, spend a half an our to take a look. Do not add this place to your trip schedule as must to visit.

interesting. for a minute or two
Aug 2016 • Family
Some interesting and weird inventions though you could do better than spend €28 for two kids and two adults: try taking an ipad to a bar with free wifi and googling 'interesting and weird inventions' instead.
Really, do that, the museum is no better (seeing some of them for real) as you're reliant on a screen to show what it's about anyway!
like i said, bar, wifi, ipad and save yourself some money.

A hidden gem!
May 2016 • Solo
What a find! I was in Barcelona at the end of May and,by luck,I happened upon "MIBA"-'The museum of ideas & inventions',down a side street. With a simple exterior,it 'hides its light under a bushel'!,but once inside the mind is immediately stimulated by the exhibits and the displays. There are hands-on things and,of course, don't touch ones-many of the items are hand-made by young minds:these show lateral-thinking at its most ingenious! Entry cost is trivial even though sponsorship is poor. MIBA deserves help-visit it! Richard Symes.

Fun but small
May 2016 • Solo
A quirky little museum, would definitely be more enjoyable to share this experience with children. Some things were not working including the scales and slide (which I notice in another review were not working back in Oct 2015 either) staff were friendly.
Very small - only a couple of rooms

Not worth a visit
Apr 2016
This place has nothing to show. A few stands with some old internet junk. You just pay 8 euro and spend 20 minutes wondering why did you do that. Skip this place, Barcelona has much more to offer.

Definitely a must do, ideal for kids and adults alike
Apr 2016
My husband and I have been to this museum with our 10 year old son. We really enjoyed the visit as we have seen amazing inventions...some of which are kids inventions! The museum's boutique provides some very original gifts. We left the museum and could not stop talking about it. Thanks for the experience.

Loved it
Sep 2015
This is a privately owned museum in Barcelona which shows off good, bad and interesting inventions. It is very interactive and I think it would be enjoyed by different age groups. My most enjoyable invention was the chip machine that you had to ride an exercise bike to get the chips.
