Barcelona's port is a very picturesque and beautiful place to walk. As a continuation of the famous Rambla street which leads to it, they built the Rambla on the Sea.
The walkway takes you over water admiring yachts and boats with plenty of bars and restaurants, as well the Barcelona Aquarium.
Pleasant place to spend few hours.

Barcelona port is hardly a quaint harbour with a lingering sense of by-gone maritime history. But it is a great place to gawk at private yachts. Chances are, if you are there in the summer months, there will be a couple to check out. You can even google who owns them and how much they are worth. Plus, the below decks areas are often on a level with the harbour walkway, so you might get a glimpse of how the staff of the rich and famous are whiling away the hours between gin receptions on the upper decks. In our case, we spotted some crew making Marmite sandwiches on the yacht of an American DIY magnate. Fascinating AND relatable.

We came to Port Vell to watch Circ Raluy Historic. Resident here for 3 months over Xmas and New Year.

Great show. Old fashioned, vintage. Made everyone laugh.

Nice views of boats and massive yachts. Right on the harbor. Boats and more boats.

There was this restaurant called Luz de gas right on the harbor. Had an upper deck for seating too.

So much to take in. Lots and lots of great bottles of red wines, lots of local cuisine and beautiful yachts to aspire for one day.

Food wasn’t bad, the wine was better.

nice port to wander around under good weather! however very crowded from so many tourists and the mall nearby. we still had a good time there with a nice view and a delicious ice cream at jijonenca ! then the local bus immediately drove us back to the centre, very practical!

Right at the port and on the water, they built a shopping mall and restaurant center. It is popular and usually full of people. I did not find the shopping to be all that great here and prefer to go to the big department store. Modern architecture with a lot of windows.

Hotel H-10 Port Vell (Barcelona) was excellent. Great room, great location and great breakfast. 5th floor bar had great views, but a small, very small pool. Had a wonderful time.

At the end of Las Rambla and Columbus Monument comes port area which is an excellent place to spend few hours. One can see beautiful boats and big yachts moored here. Thera is a mall with many shops to satisfy your shopping urge. Some of the restaurants have got a very good sea view. In the evening the ambience was very vibrant.
Worth visiting...

I had this experience and it was wonderful to take a walk with friends next to the boats and seagulls fly above you. Beautiful colors, happy people and the breeze of Cataluna!

Love this place as there is a shopping mall with many unique shops to look at. Best of all, lots of tapas restaurants to choose from and the price ain't that expensive as in Las Ramblas.
