Just a flea market with lots of junk and cheap materials and fake goods (dulce kabana, versachi etc) :p was not worth the long walk but for those who like this kind of flea markets it could be ok.

Also called the Old Flea Market ( don't think there is a new one). What there is new about this bustling and somewhat chaotic place is the fantastic mirrored canopy outside. The old flea market dates back to the Middle Ages and has been at...More

This market is definitely for the bargain hunters. Held in a train station it has 3 levels worth of wares. Mostly junk but if you dont mind sifting through piles of second hand clothes and costume jewelry you might find a treasure. If you like...More

I love a good yard sale and searching for treasuress. This was a great place to do that. That large open area in the center of the market consists of vendors selling a variety of smaller antique items. Some of the tables are more organized...More

And what it ISN'T is Portobello Road or some other flea market where you can reliably find vintage treasures. Most stuff here is new. A lot is, as noted, Chinese--but that's because this is a flea market for day-to-day practical needs--it's rather like a gigantic...More

Passing through the glorious Plaça Catalunya, you
enter the newer city district of Eixample, literally
translated as “extension,” which immediately becomes
recognizable by its more spacious streets and elegant
atmosphere. The main artery of this sizable district,
Passeig de Gracia, is lined with high-end
international designer stores. Not to be outdone, the
glitz and glamour of this zone is perhaps best

vintage clothing, junk shops, second hand, antiques, etc (10 Replies)
Hello, I read a Lonely Planet free things to do article that said there is vintage clothing shopping at the Els Encants Vells flea market and also vintage clothing shops in El Raval. We love funky second hand/vintage shopping, junk shops, antiques, etc. Are these two locations good places to spend a few hours each? If not, can you recommend some neighborhoods with good second hand shops and antique shops please? Thanks very much!
