About Steel Donkey Bike Tours
Steel Donkeys are the first and only alternative bike rides of Barcelona. We're not about dry historic facts and the same daily routines that characterise other mass market bike tours. We're about getting on a bike and exploring the hidden corners of the city, like flea markets, futuristic skyscrapers, vintage shops, secret courtyards and local beaches... Our guides are young, knowledgeable locals who were either born in Barcelona or have lived here for several years. We like to talk about the real experience of life in the city, modern politics, culture and stories. But most of all we like to have a fun relaxing day out on a bike with our new friends... you! We ride with a maximum of 8 people, offering a more personal experience, greater mobility and sustainability (as this way we don't contribute to the congestion of mass tourism). When you ride with us you'll never feel like just another tourist on the treadmill. Hope to see you soon in Barcelona!

Overview
Skip the tours that take you to generic tourist hotspots you can easily discover on your own and instead experience local life in Barcelona on this alternative cycling excursion. Each small-group ride is shaped to meet the interests of the participants. You can visit local shops, eateries, parks, and obscure attractions most tourists never see without worrying about getting lost or deciding where to go next.

Simply brilliant! Leticia gave us an authentic feel for the history of and life in Barcelona. Lovely group. Small enough to have flexibility and big enough to meet new people from around the world

I really liked experiencing all the small streets but passing also the main sights. It was a great thing to do with our 8 year old.

Amazing bike tour, Augustin was such an incredible tour guide and took the cycle at a very leisurely pace considering the very hot weather we had. We learnt so much and this tour enabled us to go back and explore some of the beautiful streets we cycled through. Can’t recommend this tour enough, thank you so much!!

Fun tour with our guide Augustine. I needed some exercise after a few crazy days in Ibiza and had never been to Barcelona. Biking is a great way to see the city, especially if you are not a "Hop on, Hop off" bus kind of person. Our tour was interesting. We hit many popular neighbourhoods and sights so I'm not sure I'd list the tour as totally off-the-beaten track, but it was enjoyable, informative, and we had a good group.

We really enjoyed our 4 hour bike tour with Letitia, which included many stops in the Gothic Quarter, rides through various neighborhoods and along the beach, and a refreshing stop at small cafe. Highly recommend.
