The city's first gastronomical tapas tour, The Barcelona Taste is about food. And lots of it! On this 2-3 hour food tour we stop in 3-4 small food establishments in either the famous Gothic or the lovely Gracia neighborhoods of Barcelona.

Our venues range from high-quality specialty shops to home-style tapas restaurants, each one with its own scrumptious specialties for you to taste.

A knowledgeable and very friendly guide will safely lead you through this labyrinth of a neighborhood, all the while sharing stories about Barcelona life, food, and history. You will enjoy all the cuisine, and, due to the small size of the group, you will also enjoy a more personal, relaxed experience.

We booked this tour on -line based on a Sydney Morning Herald review. Couldn't be more pleased with the result. Tito, the tour guide, was easy to get along with and made sure we all enjoyed ourselves, even my wife who had picked up a nasty cold and was not her usual jolly self. We were all amazed to find... We had a fabulous time. Tito provided not only great feedback about both the wines and delicious food, but gave us much perspective about the culture of Barcelona. The group was small enough to fit right into the three locations we visited and the variety of offerings at each place teased us with new tastes and textures. Thanks to Tito... More

We went on the Gótico Tour and couldn't recommend it enough. Tito our guide was so knowledgeable and took us to some really amazing places. The group was small which was great and very friendly. This was easily the highlight of our break and we won't hesitate to go on another tour the next time we are back in Barcelona.

My husband and I did a food tour through the Gothic Quarter hosted by Lorea, which was fantastic! She was an excellent host and chose delicious dishes to try at each of the stops. The two other couples on the tour were very fun and interesting, making the experience that much better. Be prepared to leave happy and on a... More

Joe and Ramiro were so informative about everything Catalonia. We appreciated the local flair, history, and the variety of foods. We have been on other tours during this trip to Barcelona, and foods we ate on this tour were not a repeat. Much appreciated!!

Lorea was our guide and she was delightful. Besides us and the couple we were traveling with, there were 2 other men from Singapore. It was fun visiting over great food and drinks and getting to know them. I tried foods that were a little out of my comfort zone, but that was part of the adventure. It was relaxing... More

3 couples. One guide-- in this case John. 3 tapas restaurants, all small gems apparently frequented by locals. All delightful. So much food. So much drink. Lots of great information. Well organized. Enjoyable company, including honeymooners from South Africa. Lovely way to spend our last evening in this amazing city

We took this tour on our first night in Spain and we thoroughly enjoyed it! We were introduced to many delicious, traditional Spanish tapas that we may not have tried had we been on our own. We also enjoyed some delicious drinks along the way! Each of the restaurants we went to were very good and full of character. Catherine... More

We did the tour the night of our first day in Spain. It was excellent. It is now day five and they were likely the best tapas we've had so far! With such a small group and awesome guide, we had a great time.

Staying in Montjuic

Neighborhood Profile
Montjuic
Beyond the four columns standing guard at the Plaça Espanya, beyond even the extravagant and colorful fountains guiding your way up the boulevard, stands the impressive and towering structure of the Palau Nacional, the national museum. At this very spot in front of the cascades of the central fountain, Freddie Mercury and Montserrat Caballe gave the performance of their lifetimes to welcome the 1992 Olympic Games to this magnificent city. And true to its anticipation, the games transformed the city, reimagining the mountain of Montjuic with the development of an arena, stadium, and many other sporting facilities that are open to visitors year-round. Surrounding the adjacent side of the plaza are well-established hotels catering to business guests and a shopping mall transformed out of a historic bullfighting arena.
