The city's first gastronomical tapas tour, The Barcelona Taste is about food. And lots of it! On this 2-3 hour food tour we stop in 3-4 small food establishments in either the famous Gothic or the lovely Gracia neighborhoods of Barcelona.

Our venues range from high-quality specialty shops to home-style tapas restaurants, each one with its own scrumptious specialties for you to taste.

A knowledgeable and very friendly guide will safely lead you through this labyrinth of a neighborhood, all the while sharing stories about Barcelona life, food, and history. You will enjoy all the cuisine, and, due to the small size of the group, you will also enjoy a more personal, relaxed experience.

My sister and I were lucky enough to spend a Friday evening with Barcelona Taste. Our guide was knowledgable and great company. The four places we visited were excellent (you'll have to book to find out where we went!) and we had plenty food. We sampled local cheeses, tapas and deserts in places we could have easily missed. Out guide... More

We were in a small group, the two of us combined with three people from Chicago. Lorea couldn't have been nicer or more knowledgable about the culture of Spain, not to mention the diversity of tapas she introduced to us. It was casual, and delicious and so very comfortable. Her English is impeccable. Her charm unmatched. If you want a... More

We had a very nice night with Catherine as our guide. We took the tour on our first night in Barcelona and it was a great way to see the city and eat good food. Highly recommend doing a food tour on your first night! We have done 10+ food tours, so are a little more critical than others might... More

We love food, and this tapas tour was right up our alley! Because we'd been in Spain for several weeks before doing this, I was greatly appreciative of the fact that they hit on off the tour book places and it included a variety of typical dishes that were NOT the 20 or so super regular tapas. Different, delicious and... More

Ramiro, our guide, met us two Brits and and three Americans for a lovely intimate evening tour of the best tapas in Barcelona's Gothic quarter. A walking tour, but easily manageable by all except the least able. We tasted cheese and wine in a charming fromagerie (owned by the delightful, Katherine) followed by three Tapas restaurants. At each Tapas destination... More

Had a lovely evening on the Poble Sec Tour. Jo took us to some great spots and ordered interesting and very tasty dishes. Drinks flowed and everything was to a very high quality. Jo was such a fab guide - she took the time to send lots of personalized recommendations and was a delight to spend an evening with. Highly... More

I did the Gothic tour with Ben as my guide on my first night in Barcelona. I was tired and jet lagged but I really felt like I needed a little advice on how to eat well in Spain. I am so glad I decided to start my visit with this tour! If you don’t know Barcelona I think a... More

We took this tour after reading many positive reviews on Trip Advisor. What we liked best is that we were exposed to foods and drink that we would not normally have found on our own, such as the small cheese shop in the beginning. We were adventurous and tried some tapas that we would not have been bold enough to... More

One of the highlights of our visit to Barcelona. We did a private tour for our family of four. Our children, ages 12 and 14 loved it as much as we did. The restaurants we visited were in new up and coming neighborhoods. They were completely off the tourist track. The result was amazing food with true local flair.

My whole family enjoyed this tour. It was lead by 2--20-something-year-olds who were hip and cool-- my teenagers appreciated their in-site and humor. We walked all over the Gothic neighborhood and met shop owners, drank interesting wines, heard interesting stories and shared many tapas dishes, there were 8 of us in the group total..my family and 2 other younger couples.... Neighborhood Profile
Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)
With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighborhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.
