Description:

The city's first gastronomical tapas tour, The Barcelona Taste is about...

The city's first gastronomical tapas tour, The Barcelona Taste is about food. And lots of it! On this 2-3 hour food tour we stop in 3-4 small food establishments in either the famous Gothic or the lovely Gracia neighborhoods of Barcelona.

Our venues range from high-quality specialty shops to home-style tapas restaurants, each one with its own scrumptious specialties for you to taste.

A knowledgeable and very friendly guide will safely lead you through this labyrinth of a neighborhood, all the while sharing stories about Barcelona life, food, and history. You will enjoy all the cuisine, and, due to the small size of the group, you will also enjoy a more personal, relaxed experience.

I had one last day in Barcelona, alone after my friends had gone home. I joined Lorea and a nice couple from SF on the tapas tour before leaving the next day. It was such a nice way to learn about a less-touristy neighborhood, and to try a variety of tapas I might not have selected on my own! Each... More

We booked on our first night having read rave reviews. The website said lots of food and wine and great tour of the area. We joined two other couples and when we looked back at where we had walked, we only went up a couple of streets in poble Sec. We stopped in 3 tapas bars and were only allowed... More

My wife and I did the Poble Sec Tour with Lorea. It was just us and one other friendly woman from New York. We visited 3 tapas bars in the area, each unique and delicious. Lorea ordered everything after consulting us about our preferences. She gave us insightful information about the dishes and also provided additional recommendations in a thoughtful... More

Poble Sec tour on a Thursday night (our second night) with Lorea as our guide. It was just two of us with Lorea and we made three stops: tapas, light dinner and dessert all with appropriate wine and new tastings at each. Fun evening walking a neighborhood that we would not have visited otherwise, trying some genuine local spots. Lorea... More

Our guide Lorea, was exceptional. She took us to some local spots that we otherwise would not have visited. The food at all locations was excellent. Lorea had the ability to communicate very well in English and provided a lot of background information. She kindly emailed us with additional information that would add to the enjoyment of our stay in... More

It was an intimate and indepth tour. Our guide, Tito, was excellent. His knowledge of the food and of the city gave us an enhanced experience with our time in Barcelona. We had about four stops and each place was better than the next. Amazing tapas, beautiful guide through the city. Definitely recommend!

Spending a few days solo in Barcelona, I booked myself onto The Barcelona Taste tour of the Gotico & Barrio areas on a Friday evening, as I thought it would be a great way to experience tapas in the company of a guide who knew the area and the venues well. I don't speak Spanish, so having someone there able... More

Three of us joined the tapas tour of the gothic quarter with a wonderful guide, Tito, and two other guests, on our first night in the city. It was a lovely introduction to both Barcelona and the wide variety of Tapas we sampled in the four places we visited. Tito made us very welcome and we felt we had had... More

We had a great evening on our Poble Sec tapas tour. Lorea was an excellent host and proudly showed us how to explore the neighbourhood of Poble Sec and it's delicious food. We shared some beautiful food with wonderful company. Small, intimate, away from the crowds. We definitely recommend!!

My sister and I were lucky enough to spend a Friday evening with Barcelona Taste. Our guide was knowledgable and great company. The four places we visited were excellent (you'll have to book to find out where we went!) and we had plenty food. We sampled local cheeses, tapas and deserts in places we could have easily missed. Out guide... More

Neighborhood Profile
Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)
With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighborhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.
