Four of us took the half day tour. In all we spent around 5 hours with the guides and they were happy to plan a tour around the areas that we most wanted to see and skip/minimise those that we had already visited. The bikes are great fun and easy for the sidecar rider. A little more challenge initially for... More

We had a great time on the must see tour with Joao. He started out by asking what we had already seen, and what we were interested in seeing and made a plan according to our goals. We had a blast seeing Barcelona and learning more of the history as we went along. He also gave us many restaurant recommendations... More

Took the 4 hour sidecar tour and we were able to see a snap shot of the whole city in a short time in a comfortable sidecar. The motorcycles were well maintained BMWs and the sidecars were well equiped. Our guides were great and had a good command of English, and they were fun to be with. We had helmet... More

300 euro can seem a bit much for a tour but how often are you in Barcelona? We did the foodie tour and it was awesome. Alessandro, our guide, was warm and engaging. He was a wealth of knowledge on both the culture and history of Barcelona. He took us to some great spots to eat, Lolita's being our fave... More

We were contemplating how to best see Barcelona with our family (kids 9 and 12). After waking around and seeing a few central things over the first few days, we did a tour with Alex and Matt (3 hours). They were prompt, courteous, friendly and informative. It was a great way to see the city, especially the parts that were... More

We choose the 9am City Tour which took about 4.5 hours. We had time to take photographs and walk around. We visited streets where the City Tour buses cannot travel. Our guide/driver was Juan, was very knowledgable and passionate about 'his' city and its attractions. Glad we took the morning tour - not as hot as it was in the... More

Dear Greg, Thank you for reviewing you customized tour with Juan. As you noticed the driving is slow paced and absolutely safe – with plenty stops along the way. All of our private tours include pick up and drop off at your chosen location. The communication system incorporated in each helmet helps us to make the whole experience more intimate... More

I spent a wonderful week in Barcelona. Many wonderful memories but Kim my tour guide with Brightside made my evening tour of this beautiful city truly memorable. Picked me up in a vintage WWII motorcycle. What fun is that! I brought my camera along, but Kim was so fun, smart and engaging that I was truly in the moment and... More

Staying in El Raval

Neighborhood Profile
El Raval
Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.
