Great way to see the city, little Electric cars with GPS map of all the significant sights to see. Talking GOS explains history of locations and factoids. Fun day and an affordable way to see alit and not be tied to a large group. You get to go your own pace, stop when you wish. Tons of fun. Go for it!!

Thank you very much for your comment. Since March 2019 we have been giving to GoCar is true value. Of course, everything is not perfect. But does the perfect really exist? In any case, we try to offer you the best. Since a few months ago we are receiving good comments and this is a very good sign.

We did the gaudi tour of 3 hours and we really liked it. Not only do you get a good look of the city and many of its sights, you also go up the mountain where you get the most beautiful look of the entire city and beach. The audio tour was interesting and the GPS was very clear to follow. Moreover it is fun to drive such a small kart, after you get used to it :)

Where do I even begin. This is a must!! Such a cool way to tour the city on your own with a gps and “virtual” tour guide speaking to you about the history of Barcelona. I recommend this 1000%!! Easy to drive and driving around the city was not as bad as I thought. Do it, I promise you won’t regret it!

Saw so much of Barcelona that we wouldn’t have had the time to if we did not go on this tour. Gives you the opportunity to stop off where you like. You see all the main attractions and even go up the mountain for a beautiful view of the city. Staff were very friendly and even offered us an extra hour for free. Definitely recommend for anyone visiting the city.

Very friendly staff, good service and nice scootercars.
We rented two cars for 3 hours and we got to see a lot of Barcelona within a quite short period of time.
They were very fun to drive in, for a very reasonable price. The music system in the car was easy to use and was a very nice touch.

Got to see a lot of the city in a short time but was quite frustrating in a few ways.

Car is v small, I am 1.85m and it was a real struggle to fit into the car and was very uncomfortable to be in for 3 hours.

Taking in the sites is quite hard as you are too busy trying to figure out what lane to be in and what way you are supposed to be going, can be a bit hectic. In our case this was compounded by a faulty GPS on the car that meant we were getting wrong directions at times. When we told the management about this at the end of the trip they were less than helpful and went on the defensive to avoid giving us a refund.

Overall I would not recommend this

Fantastic experience which absolutely made the holiday. The staff member getting us started was incredibly friendly and helpful. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend, we saw so much of Barcelona which we might not have seen had we been walking! Great fun driving the cars too. Boyfriends highlight of the holiday. Lovely stops for drinks suggested by tour guide too.

So we just got back from our trip to Europe. We took a 12 day cruise and spent a day at the beginning and end of our trip in Barcelona. My friend (who we were traveling with) convinced me that a good way to see the highlights of Barcelona would be to rent a Go Car. She came to this conclusion based on the many positive review on this sites and others of it’s kind. Although apprehensive about the thought of driving in Barcelona traffic with a scooter like car, I agreed and we got our international driving permit at AAA (make sure to have this or if stopped by police you could be fined) the day we left for Barcelona. We rented 4 cars (each holds 2 people). Our group was composed of 5 adults and 3 kids 12 and under. The theory of this experience is that you have a talking tour guide with a GPS system that tells you where to go and what you are seeing. The audio is supposed to start as soon as you leave the garage, however, 2 of the cars had complete silence. I followed the other cars (who didn’t know that I had no audio) until I lost them at a light. Then I pulled over and waited for the 4th car whose audio also was not working, After hitting the dash it went on. I followed that car for most of time I was in the Go car but had no idea what I was seeing. We decided to head back to the garage, however, there was no function to just get directions back without going through the course, so we drove around lost in Barcelona for over 2 hours. When we returned, we were frustrated, scared and upset. The first response of the manager was that we had their car all day and there was nothing they would do and why didn’t we have a good time, our friends said they did. I guess if the cars were in working order the experience might have been different. We ultimately (after much arguing) got a refund on my car and 50% back on my husband’s car since he spent the whole time trying not to lose me. We also had prepaid and they had charged us again because they didn’t notice that we had prepaid. After a few phone calls back and forth afterwards we rectified that. When our friends finally returned, we found out that even though they had a working GPS system they were pretty much lost in Barcelona as well and were just as upset. She seemed to have many of the same issues as we did. Even when the GPS system was working it routed us down one way streets and into plazas we should not have been driving in. In fact when we were lost looking for the garage or home as the GPS refers to it, we were in the middle of a plaza and would have gotten a ticket from the police if a nice woman who spoke both English and Spanish had not explained our situation. By the way there, are two separate locations referred to as home and there’s no way to have it get you to the particular one that you want.
My recommendation is to pass on renting these cars. Locals seemed to be annoyed that we were on the road, people were laughing as we drove by because we were very obviously tourists and the cars are not in good working order. In fairness they did end up refunding most of our money but that was after much argument and after double charging us to begin with.

We decided to take a tour with GoCar since it was advertised as a convenient way to see a range of landmarks through a guided tour. However, we were very disappointed.

The GPS system they use (their own) is horribly misguiding; the navigation icon does not rotate, meaning that it does not show you which direction you are going, until the map moves and you realise that you've missed your turn or have gone the opposite direction.

There was also a supposed to be voice guidance to complement the navigation screen, which the shop assistant informed us was at full volume before we left the shop. However, this was inaudible even when we were waiting in traffic, let alone driving the car's loud engine.

We basically spent the entire trip trying to figure out for ourselves where we were going, wasting a lot of time in the process, since their was no guidance from the GPS system whatsoever.

We eventually managed to get back to the shop thanks to a function which guides you back to the shop (which funnily enough actually works properly, since it runs on Google Maps). We raised our complaint to the staff, who did not take it well. Rather than addressing the utterly poor navigation system, the guy in charge said that we should have called them during the trip.

Despite explaining that we could not do so since we were driving and we couldn't find anywhere to park legally, he simply kept on repeating the same thing and actually said that this was "our problem". I still could not understand how he proposed to help us should we have called, since he acknowledged that the system was designed that way and that it was working as intended.

Considering that the main users of this service are tourists (who would be unfamiliar with the streets of Barcelona), one would expect a decent GPS system and that the service providers would understand this. However, this was not the case.

We realised that the representative was not interested in customer satisfaction, but rather in holding onto profits. Definitely would not recommend; better to just rent a car.
