First trip to Barcelona with three "golden girls". We asked for two days of discovering Barcelona and they delivered the perfect tours. The first we added a private car (our driver, Victor, was considerate and thoughtful and helpful to our slightly mobility impaired passenger). Christina was our guide and we loved her: knowledgeable, passionate, helpful. We saw Montjuic, Sagrada Familia... More

Our guide Teresa was so wonderful! She was extremely knowledgeable and wove in the Jewish history and Spanish history so beautifully. I could have spent all day with her! She also took us to a local restaurant and helped us order Tapas. Yum! Margo was so nice and accommodating a pleasure to work with. Jenny J.

Cayetano, an art history major, really knows his city and its history. His language skills are excellent, he's personable and easy to bee with, and in my book, a major attribute beyond his reliability and promptness, is that he arrives prepared to focus entirely on our tour and since he is so well prepared he can improvise... he quickly sized... My wife and I wanted a tour of Old Barcelona with an emphasis on the Jewish quarter. This Is Barcelona asked their veteran guide, Jose Antonio, to show us around and he was terrific. He gave us so much more than the usual "see this beautiful church" tour. He gave us the social, cultural, economic and political context for what... More

We booked our bike tour for the last day of our stay in Barcelona. We had some concerns on how relevant our tour would be given the time we had already spent exploring the city. Our concerns were immediately alleviated upon meeting our guide Theresa. She spent time getting to know us, our interests and then designed an afternoon that... More

I hadn't gotten around to writing this review but had been meaning to for quite some time. Last November, my S/O and I spent 10 days in Barcelona and found "Hi. This is Barcelona" on Yelp and decided we really wanted a private tour. We didn't pick one of their out-of-the-box tours but instead asked for a combo of their... More

We did the all day Barcelona Tour (half bikes and half walking) and the tour to Girona. Both were amazing. Our guides, Mirjam and Teresa, were both extremely knowledgable, super friendly and very interested in making sure we had the best trip for us. We learned a lot of history, learned about the culture of the region, the development of... More

My husband and I were in Barcelona for 3 days and really wanted to see the city and learn about the history...after researching private tours, I came across Hi, this is Barcelona. We couldn't have made a better decision. Margo suggested if we really wanted to see Barcelona we should do a full day bike tour. We met Jordan at... More

I was very torn about my experience with Hi, This is Barcelona. Our tour guide (Sebastian) was excellent. We did a bike tour that enabled us to see more of the City in one day than we would likely have seen in 3 traveling by foot, taxi and metro. We heard great stories, learned a lot about both the history... More

This was an amazing tour! Jordan was extremely knowledgable and fun and I highly suggest doing a biking tour! It was a great way to see tons of stuff. Definitely the highlight of our trip. I would recommend to anyone.

Neighborhood Profile
Barrio Gotico (Barri Gotic)
With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighborhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.
