Once a downtrodden corner of downtown Barcelona, this gritty area has seen a cultural resurgence boasting an excellent nightlife and one of the most multi ethnic spots in the entire city. A sense of humble authenticity protrudes from the many independent record stores, second hand shops, and student bars that seem to light up the streets day and night. The rocking epicenter, the MACBA Plaça, is a modern day forum for bohemian youth, abuzz with the sights and sounds of late-night gatherings and talented skateboarders showing off their latest tricks.

These guys run a wonderful establishment. They make you feel relaxed and welcome. They instruct you exactly how to cook the paella. We were cooking with 2 other couples, but felt like they were old friends by the time lunch was finished. Highly recommend this! We brought our 18 year old daughter (who doesn't like to cook) and she had fun too!

The Paella Club didn't skimp on anything! We (2 couples) walked in and were handed 4 glasses of Cava (champagne). They kept your glass full, if you wanted more. The cooking experience was wonderful. Our group had 12 people cooking 7 different types of paella. The chefs' input and humor was enjoyable and very informative. After cooking, we all sat down and shared our paellas along with appetizers, wine and dessert.
Great experience! When in Barcelona, cook and enjoy Paella!

We booked the Paella experience for our team of 9 people as a team building activity. Alex was extremely accommodating of all our requirements and arrival time. The activity itself was really fun and educational and the food itself was delicious! Both the guys have a real passion for what they do and it really shows. I would definitely recommend!

My son and I did the 2 hour amuse bouche experience with the Paella Club and it was SO FUN! He was really hesitant going into it... as any 15 year old might be... but he admittedly had a good time. The 2 women leading our class were amazing and funny and energetic and they created a relaxed and fun atmosphere. The other guests were super nice too and fun to be with. I would highly recommend this to anyone visiting Barcelona with a little extra time! Did I mention the cava?!! Free flowing and delicious. Thank you Paella Club for a memorable experience!!

My college daughter & I did this on our last night in Barcelona! It was the perfect way to end our trip! Alex was high energy and had a wonderful staff. He played a great mix of music, kept everyone engaged and the Paella was fabulous! There was a great mix of people &
15 in the group and 2 people at a work Station. At the end we all sat down and tried everyone’s paella (seafood/ beef/ chicken / veggie) something for everyone! Cava was served from the moment you came in & wine with dinner! I booked 2 weeks prior to my trip & I know it sells out! Not to be missed!

We were looking for a cooking class that would inspire us to cook a wonderful paella. Our class had 9 people, one family of four, two couples and a single. We all had a blast learning how to cook four kinds of Paella, from scratch. The tips and tricks were super useful, and we genuinely learned him to make the dishes. The facilities provide a beautiful experience. The kitchen area is new and sparkling, the dining area is a large communal table and nice too. The wine flows freely, and you learn from a great chef called Alex. Great fun, great experience.

The highlight of our trip to Barcelona. A fantastic way to learn some history and culture, a nice change from the usual activities. The team are friendly and are not shy to fill up your wine glasses! Would recommend The Paella Club to anyone wanting to learn something new and do something different with your Barcelona trip.

Absolutely loved it! Great energy from the hosts and other guests. Made for an epic Sunday afternoon activity. I would highly recommend it for a group of friends or your partner. Fresh farm to table ingredients, local knowledge and loads of cava have all the makings for a good time.

We had so much fun! And the paella and the wine was tasting great. Alex was an awesome host, a lot of energy, a lot of great vibes. I recommend highly!
We had that class during covid pandemic in january 2021, and it was lovely, and safe - a great experience.
Guys go there, don’t wait for better days « covid free », it’s a great way to spend time together while respecting social distancing, and you get to help local business that deserve support. You won’t regret it. Thanks Alex!

The 5-course dinner at 8pm is listed cheaper on the Paella Club website (95 euro) than here in Trip Advisor. But the one here mentions bottomless wine. Is that the difference or is there something else?

Hi. 14 and 16 are totally fine, they will love cooking with us.
Thanks a bunch.
Alex ands Alex
Me and my boyfriend, both in the beginning 20´s, want to join a paella cooking class. The Paella sound great but I wonder which type of class would fit best. We would love a lively, open but still relaxed atmosphere. Probably dinner would be cool but we don't need 5 courses and different wines cause we are a bit on a budget.
Still we want to spent something for a highlight of our trip. So which of the three experiences (1pm, 5pm or 8pm) would you recommend?
Cheers
