We learnt a lot!!

Our guide was very knowledgeable and had family members who were involved in the conflict, so extensive anecdotal knowledge of how the locals dealt with the conflict. He gave a great account of the civil war in Barcelona and its effect on the city and its inhabitants. Well worth doing the tour!! Payment is what you want to give - we thought 20 euros each was an appropriate amount.

Amazing time exploring El Born!

I signed up for the ‘Secrets and History of El Born’ tour on January 5th. Francisco was our guide and even though we were just 3 of us for the English tour, he did not cancel. It was very easy to find him in the Placa de Cataluyna, he had an umbrella and was there early and standing right in front of the fountain. Franciso is very fun! He took us through the El Born neighbourhood and shared amazing stories. Think of it as an alternative side of Barcelona tour. He presented facts and helped us understand the story of the El Born nieghbourhood and showed us some very cool places to go back to later (e.g., stained glass FCB logo in a church, now that’s called a secret!). Had a very good time and if you are looking for something unconventional, I would highly recommend this tour.

Thanks Carlos, you're a fantastic Guide

I felt guilty that I hadn't got around to reviewing our Gothic Quarter Tour and guide from October 2019, the wonderful Carlos from Brazil, and there I see he is in the lead photo! This was a great "free" tour and worthy of a very generous tip. The tour covered the Gothic quarter and its 2000 year history. Carlos was knew his stuff, he was passionate and shared his knowledge of history and politics as it related to the area.
Carlos had the insider knowledge and gave us lots of clues of what you might want to do if you had more time to spend here. spent a little more time exploring at the end of the tour before going off to another activity we'd booked, but we came back and spent the evening exploring futher - a great area.
Thanks Carlos, sorry for my tardyness and stay safe during COVID-19.

Great tour of Barcelona…thanks Patrick!

We had a wonderful day exploring Barcelona with Patrick. Our half day private tour took us through the history of Barcelona and highlighted the unique architecture found in the city. Patrick was very knowledgeable and enjoyable to be with. We highly encourage anyone interested in a very interesting and informative tour to book this one. You will not be disappointed.

The Spanish civil war in Barcelona with an expert guide ( fantastic tour)

Our guide David Burruezo gave us an insightful , fascinating and , through his grandfather a real life experience , tour of the civil war in Barcelona . David brought to life the traumatic events of the war sharing his clearly vast knowledge of events , their background and the key people involved . I cannot recommend David and this tour highly enough whatever your knowledge of the war .

El Born walking tour with Fran ****

The tour around el Born with Fran was great. Fran teaches you about the history of Barcelona as you walk around the streets stopping at historical sights. It's a great way of learning and it was basically free.

Gothic quarter tour with David

Excellent tour at Gothic quarter. The guide, David, is a local, very passionate with excellent knowledge of Barcelona's history and Spanish Civil War. I learned so much and not bored at all. I highly recommend this tour!!

Wonderful Free Walking Tour of Barcelona

We took a walking tour of the Gothic Quarter today, Wednesday, at 11am with Romy.... she was great! Smart, knowledgeable, engaging, interesting, honest and her English was perfect!
We highly recommend this company for tours of Barcelona.....hope you get Romy as your guide!

Gothic walking tour

We had a great time and really enjoy the tour, Francis showed us the wonderful barrio gotico.
I really liked his passione and his great knowledge of the history of the city, takin care of even the smallest details.I definitely suggest to do it.
