Neighborhood: Gracia
Gracia literally stands out from the pack. It used to be an independent town until late into the 19th century. Though it’s just a short commute away from the center, a visit here feels like you’re in a whole different city. The bohemian vibe has drawn many international artists to this area, resulting in a wide selection of galleries, live music and artsy boutique stores. The nightlife is centered around the vibrant Gracia’s plaças, where young and old gather to enjoy a drink outside. Carrer de Verdi, its main street, offers affordable restaurants and a movie theater that screens new as well as classic films in their original language. However Gracia's greatest treasure lies just up the hill at Guell Park, where Antoni Gaudi's vibrant and revolutionary art sculptures stand atop unequaled views of Barcelona.

My daughter and I had a fantastic experience learning how to make authentic paella, crema catalana and sangria at this class. Anna is so friendly, informative and talented; we really enjoyed meeting her. The paella was the best we have ever tasted. We would definitely recommend this class.

My (adult) daughter and I loved this cooking class. The food was delicious and the instructor made it fun and interesting. It was a highlight of our trip and I'll definitely be making the paella and Catelonia Creme at home!

Our group had a lot of fun and we all loved the paella and Catelonia Creme - so much so that we bought a bunch of saffron and smoked paprika and ordered a paella pan to replicate the dishes back home. Thanks for a great time!

The chef Anna was amazing. It was less a cooking class and more like being behind the scenes of someone cooking in their home. The food was delicious, I liked making Sangria and enjoyed the overall time. Would have been nice for them to prep a bit more and be on time.

Andre was a great host and teacher. Great Sangria, Paella and Spain's version of cream brulle. Also a great way to meet your fellow travelers.
Only draw back was that the local market was closed for the 'Carnival Celebration'.
Andre's studio/kitchen was well equipped (if only we had the size burner required to
accomodate the giant Paella Pan). The class was 'hands on' as everyone got a chance to cook, stir and carmelize the sugar on the brulle.
Aldo a good way to enjoy the local living.
Highly recommended

I had a great time at the paella experience. I was lucky to have a small group of only 5 which meant that everyone had a chance to join in. Eladi responded to all my questions quickly and is clearly very knowledgeable and has great love for Spanish food. He gives gentle encouragement throughout which was good for a novice cook like myself. It is very much a group activity with everyone contributing to the same dish. This encouraged conversation and comraderie between the group.
For a solo traveller like myself it was a great way to meet other people and eat together. It was definitely one of the highlights of my trip.

We joined the cooking class on a hot day in July but the room so lovely and cool. There were only four in the class and we had lots of fun meeting new people and learning the secrets of Spanish cuisine. We learnt a lot and I would highly recommend this class.

This class was much more than I expected. The food and sangria was amazing. Eladi really has a passion for his cooking and it shows through his actions. Very knowledgeable on the history behind these dishes. He really went above and beyond with explaining everything. The people in my class were also nice and friendly. We all had a great time making Paella, Catalan Creme and Sangria. I would definitely recommend to anyone coming to to Barcelona. It is a MUST!
