Neighborhood: Barrio Gòtico (Barri Gòtic)
With its iconic, old-Europe streets and alleys, this picturesque neighborhood is the very heart of Barcelona. It blends historic artifacts from its days under Roman dominion up through the Spanish Civil War with a vibrant modern-day culture of artisan shops and authentic culinary experiences. Avid explorers will be thrilled to discover quaint terraces and plazas brought to life by the many small bars and local musicians lasting late into the night. Fashionistas will be drawn to Portal de L’Angel, which is lined with well-known brand names and smaller boutique stands.

We had a jug of sangria here. Concerns were: the toilets had no hand soap and when I asked for some they put washing up liquid into a dispenser. No way of drying hands. Glasses were wiped over with a grubby cloth that had been used to wipe the tables, we had to change our glasses and the jug was dirty and hadn't been washed properly. There's 3 other bars in this lovely square and I would recommend going to them over this one,

The beer is decent with reasonable prices and the menu is totally tapas apart from a packet of Lays crisps and acietunas. I would have expected a larger size tapas for the 5.00 charged. Also the ensaladilla de pollo really should have more chicken in it. The restaurants on either side offer better value for money. Will not hurry back!

Bar Lisa has a special place in my heart.
For the last couple of months i regularly come with my best friend, who i met in Barcelona.
The endless cheeky cañas & Lisa's presence made our life more complete.
I am looking forward to having endless more beautiful moments with you & Lisa.

Finaly I found it the worst place in a center of Barcelona. Cat's food from the can, sarcastic bottle opener caling himself barman, all the time on his movil. No service, 7euros for glass of soda with lime and mint (they call it mojito). DON'T GO THERE

Lovely location but awful food. 3 tapas: good olives, awful tinned meatballs (!), omlette that tasted of fish on one side. Bill for tapas, one coffee, one bottle of water €17! Won’t go back.

We came with two small babies and sat at the table. After that we waited for waitress 10-15minutes, at this time she went around us and did not react on our voice. After 15 minutes when our 2 years baby was crying she came and said that we can not seat because first we must get in line. Why nobody said us before we have sat or in 15 minutes. Than she said that we can go or get in line and wait.

My husband and I discovered this great little bar while on our honeymoon in the Barri Gothic in Barcelona. Situated in Plaza George Orwell its only a few minutes away from the tourist drag of Las Ramblas and certainly worth a visit - for the history, ambience and excellent service from the polite, friendly barman. I recommend that you sit outside at one of the designated tables and enjoy the sights and sounds of the plaza as well as partaking of the good quality local drinks that this establishment provides in generously sized, value for money quantities. Dos mas por favour!
