Wendy our guide, was so knowledgeable and passionate about explaining the meaning and motivations that Gaudi had for what he was doing that I could have listened to her for another 2 hours. This was absolutely the best and most awe inspiring tour that I have ever taken anywhere! Barcelona Guide Bureau Tours are outstanding... we had a similar experience... More

Went for a bus tour around town. I guess the most interesting points that could be seen in three hours..and, of course, added to this was a few hours at Sagrada Familia. Our guide, Sònia did a really good job of guiding us. Excellent English plus loud clear voice made this to one of the best experiences having tour guide... More

WONDERFUL. The early morning tour walking through the Gothic district and ending at the Picasso museum for further guidance of every room was expertly and beautifully done!

Can not stop raving about this tour which took us to Casa Batllo and Sagrada Familia. Well worth doing the longer tour and seeing both. You start first thing in the morning at Casa Batllo and miss the crowds. Sagrada Familia is breathtaking. Whether you love or hate Gaudi you have to marvel at the ingenious design, creativity and scale... More

Barcelona Guide Bureau provided a very enjoyable and informative tour of Sagrada Familia, Park Guell, and Modernista buildings in Eixample. Our tour guide Rosa was passionate and expert, providing good technical detail on the architectural innovations associated with each site (the engineers in our group were impressed). Our driver Thomas was also knowledgable and a lot of fun.

We had an excellent day tour with Nuria as our guide to both sights as she provided us with excellent commentary in English and kept us well informed of the day's programme at all times. She made the tour most enjoyable with interesting information about the comings and goings of the local population and general information about the Country. We... More

We wanted a tour of the Montjuic area and the seaport on the Mediterranean. Sonia, our tour guide, was great. Her English was perfect, easy to understand and her knowledge and humor enhanced the tour. The bus was air conditioned and very comfortable and the 2 and 1/2 hour tour was the perfect amount of time. We had free time... More

We focused on the Sagrada Familia Cathedral and her knowledge and love of this fantastic project were so very evident. We have recommended her with no reservations to other friends who will travel to Barcelona. A1 service with a warm smile!

Staying in El Born / La Ribera

Neighborhood Profile
El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighborhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. Here you'll find historical and cultural attractions such as the popular Picasso Museum and the Gothic cathedral La Santa Maria del Mar, where you just might be able to catch a traditional Catalan wedding.
