The tour of the Sagrada Familia was fine. However, the claim was "you'll stop off at some of Gaudí's key landmarks, including the Casa Batlló and La Pedrera. The guide will reveal every aspect of the wonderful façade of the Casa Batlló, which is considered one of the architect's most creative and original designs combining stone, wrought iron, trencadís mosaic... Dear SCOENGUSA, I am really sorry we did not meet your expectations. We are very careful with how we explain each tour, in this case it is important to know that the tour is not exclusively Sagrada Familia, but also that we do not stop at Casa Batlló or la Pedrera. For this reason I was surprised with the statement... More

Our bus tour of Barcelona was outstanding! Our tour guide was Sonja and she was extremely knowledgeable. She expertly guided us through the Segrada de Familia and explained so many of the nuances of that magnificent structure. It was a history lesson all its own. Later she pointed out so many wonderful sights around the city along with useful background... More

This tour was outstanding. It wasn't much more expensive than standing in line and buying a ticket. The tour guides are terrific. You don't have to wait in line and you get a short bus trip with facts about Barcelona. I was very impressed with the knowledge the tour guide has and she was quite passionate about the Cathedral. Her... More

I booked the tour for me and my two daughters the night before. Meeting time and directions to the meeting point were clear and included in the confirmation email, which I received within a couple of hours. The tour was very nice. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable. I've never done a tour company tour - I usually hire a... More

My mom and I had a lovely tour with Sonia a couple of weeks ago. We saw all of the highlights of Barcelona (Sagrada Familia was my favorite!) and it was such a great way to be introduced to the city. Sonia was so knowledgable and passionate about her city and she made the tour feel like you were walking... More

In 2015 I had taken some three small group tours with BGB and it was all worth it! They are well organized, their guides are not only informative but also very cordial and patient with queries :) Sonia gave us the tour of Sagrada Familia and it was just awesome. She is the best! If you are going solo, BGB... More

Staying in El Born / La Ribera

Neighborhood Profile
El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighborhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. Here you'll find historical and cultural attractions such as the popular Picasso Museum and the Gothic cathedral La Santa Maria del Mar, where you just might be able to catch a traditional Catalan wedding.
