Joseph did a wonderful job promoting his lovely country. He was smart and funny, relaxed and approachable. He was full of knowledge. I liked hearing about his family and the traditions that he celebrated along with details of the sites we were about to see. Although he says his English is not very good, I would have to say that... We were told that the gift shop I would be closed when we finished our tour so it was the first stop. A time a place was set to begin the tour. I arrived five minutes early and no one was there. After ten minutes I ended up self touring and when I expressed my dismay of this to the... More

Dear Dal, I was so shocked and sad with your message, I couldn't believe you were talking about us! But yes, it was in Montserrat. We always try to balance some free time with some guiding time, and it is difficult to find the combination that will best please all our guests. The thing is that in winter it gets... More

We booked a 3.5-hour Gaudi tour and had Bernard as our guide. Check-in was well-organized, the bus we had for transport was comfortable, and Bernard was the best! We had 3 generations in our group, including my mother and my 13-year-old son. Everyone was fully engaged and engrossed. Bernard was personable, knowledgeable, friendly and enthusiastic. It's hard to imagine how... More

We have to commend Barcelona Guide Bureau and their guide, Laura, for providing us with a wonderful day touring Barcelona. We took the tour that combined a visit to Sagrada Familia with a tour of the City. The five hour tour was excellently managed as we arrived at Sagrada Familia early in the day when picture taking was perfect. The... More

To pass the long line to enter the magnificent Basilica Sagrada Familia is the worth the cost of the tour but then to be escorted and educated by a well informed tour guide was well beyond our expectation. We also visited the Casa Batllo with the same guide walking us through this Gaudi masterpiece. You can visit both sited on... More

We enjoyed our guided tour very much. We were shown a short introductory film and then followed a tour around the theatre. It's well worth a visit, but I find it a bit pricey for a tour that takes just under an hour. I spent about 20 € for me and my son and I would have found it more... More

Dear Monika, Thanks for your review, it's interesting to know what you liked most. I love the Palau de la Musica Catalana, both during an evening concert, and in a guided visit during day time, when the light comes through and brights up the concert hall. The price is the entrance to the monument, 19 €/adult, the same as at... More

Part bus tour. Part walking tour. Fantastic guide. Enjoyed the tour of Casa Batllo. La Sagrada Familia was inspiring. Both parts of the tour were better than I expected. Learned much. Glad we had reservations and did not need to stand in line to enter. The headphones were wonderful. Enabled us to hear our guide even when we were not... More

I would recommend this Sagrada familia tour. It was the perfect amount of time and they were very organized. Neomi was a knowledgeable tour guide and made sure the group was together at all times.

Staying in El Born / La Ribera

Neighborhood Profile
El Born / La Ribera
The labyrinth that is El Born becomes most apparent the moment you turn down one of its side streets. But this is one of the few labyrinths you might actually enjoy losing your way in. After all, there are few places that live and breathe such exciting energy regardless of the time of day. This neighborhood seamlessly transcends the old and new parts of the city, reflected in its vast array of restaurants ranging from fancy Michelin-star establishments to trendy fusion restaurants. Here you'll find historical and cultural attractions such as the popular Picasso Museum and the Gothic cathedral La Santa Maria del Mar, where you just might be able to catch a traditional Catalan wedding.
