Valladolid & Wine tasting in a Ribera del Duero winery - From Madrid

google
We will visit the Plaza de San Pablo, one of the best known squares in Valladolid. Its name is from the church of San Pablo, it is believed that its construction was between the years 1445 and 1468.<br>Then we will go to Ribera del Duro, when we arrive we will visit Curiel Castle which stands on a rocky hill, at the highest point in the province of Valladolid, which watches over the Douro Valley and, at the foot of the hill, the town that gives its name to the castle. The castle stands on a hill next to the Horcajo stream, which discharges into the Douro. We will finish the tour with a visit to the Protos Winery, carried out by Rogers Stirk Harbor + Partners, it is an industrial project where the winemaking process is seen, from the grape harvest to the bottling of the wines. Most of the internal space of the winery is underground, here the thermal mass of the soil is used to keep the wine fresh.

What a beautiful facility. And the history surrounding it. Easy to locate in town. The front of the building is a must see. Just sit the the benches in front and enjoy the activities unfolding.

It is nice to sit in front of this impressive building, admiring the carvings. Currently, this is the second oldest university in Spain. Could not go in on this date. But, was great to marvel at the outside.

I love to go through open doors to see what I find. I went into this university knowing nothing of it, and came out very impressed by the visit.

If you read the reviews here, you definitely noticed that there is one word repeating all the time - 'second'. It is the second oldest university. Unfortunately, this sticks to the University entirely. It is also second in beauty, second in importance and comfort of sightseeing. It is simply hard to challenge the beauty of university of Salamanca.

Established in 1241, Universidad de Valladolid (University of Valladolid) is just amazing. The first building of the university was built in the 15th century. The façade of the University of Valladolid of Spain was built between 1716 and 1718 in the Baroque style and is one of the most fascinating and beautiful in Europe.
