This plaza is no different than any plaza you will encounter in Spain. Restaurants, shops, nothing too unique. There was a market in the morning when we arrived, which was neat. Once that was done, they took a lot of time to clean it up, then the restaurants set out their tables and umbrellas. It's right near the cathedral, so... More

This where the locals come in the evening to chat and walk and dine with the family in the local restaurants nearby. It sits in the shadow of the cathedral which makes for a superb backdrop particularly at night when it's beautifully lit. I came here for an amble and to people watch each night of my stay in Segovia.... More

The main square in the city and it is very sizable. It's claim to fame is that Queen Isabella the Catholic was crowned Queen of Castille here on 13th December 1474 in the square. Many tour groups meet here and there are also many restaurants here. All attractions are well signed.

This is a have to see, especially to get the vibe and cosmopolitan vibe. Walk around, sit and people watch and take in everything. Then enjoy a drink and tapas. Now you know you in Spain.

This plaza was very busy with tourist and school aged children. Also several restaurants and the cathedral right there.

Lovely huge old square with shops and restaurants and the magnificent cathedral. We walked all around it and dined in one of the restaurants (Roasted Suckling Pig is one of the delicacies and worth the hype) and we brought a few trinkets plus Marzipan Cake at the bakery. We loved Segovia and the plaza is the heart of it with... More

Filled with many restaurants and of course the cathedral. Peaceful and beautiful, with winding roads leading away into the maze of Segovia's streets.

This old square has a few eateries, a few shops and a few admin buildings. A simple stroll around the town.

Each major city in Europe seems to have a Plaza Mayor. This is one is quaint and not at filled with vendors.
