This is an amazing and beautiful place. There is a sense of tranquility and calmness in the air. We were there on a weekday and as such there were not many tourists in the heart of the town. We explored the whole place at a slow pace and enjoyed the fresh air.

Plaza Mayor welcomes you to the heart of Segovia, with its beautiful shops and the majestic Cathedral to its side. I loved the crib in the centre of the square and the gazebo always awaits with a heartful xxx

Shady colonnades are very welcome in summer, loads of little bars and cafes, a typical Spanish Plaza Mayor. Take a little time to wander around not just cut through to the Cathedral, it is worth it

Even in the cool of December, we found the plaza to be a comfortable stop during a busy day of touring the sights around Segovia. Smaller and cozier than the plaza in Madrid, the Segovia plaza mayor offers an ideal backdrop for exploring the culinary side of this historic city.

This location has tons of restaurants, and some shops. You can also watch people and take in the sights. We walked though here and stopped to take a couple of pictures.

The Plaza Mayor is oval shaped dominated by the cathedral to the west and boxed in by the Juan Bravo Theatre to the east. The buildings along the north side date from the early C17th including the Town Hall with its little twin towers. Unfortunately this north side looks somewhat delapidated and could use some restoration. The buildings have a... More

Plaza Mayor was the central hub of the town with great views of the Cathedral . It is a good place to rest mid way walking to the Alcazar. Be sure to wander off the little side roads and get lost in the myriad of little streets. The town is so small that you always find your way back to... More
