The Plaza Mayor is oval shaped dominated by the cathedral to the west and boxed in by the Juan Bravo Theatre to the east. The buildings along the north side date from the early C17th including the Town Hall with its little twin towers. Unfortunately this north side looks somewhat delapidated and could use some restoration. The buildings have a... More

Our hotel was on this Plaza so we had plenty of time to look out of our hotel windows and watch the hustle and bustle of the square. The weather was lovely even in late October so loads of people were sitting at the bars and restaurants. Great atmosphere.

This top spot worth seeing if only for the skyline Cathedral. Restaurants a bit expensive here thou. Just wander down Calle Infanta Isabel a nearby street to find the best tapas, a couple of good restaurants and quirky bars although to get the atmosphere the Plaza is the place to stop and enjoy at least a drink.

Busy square. Two markets a week here. Restaurants and tapas bars circle the square. Along with shops, banks and the town hall.

A very pleasant area to relax and watch the world go by. There are plenty of restaurants and a centre to wander down the various streets. The Cathedral is a wonderful central viewpoint.

Nice area to take in the Basillica, afternoon drink, watch the kids and elders enjoy their plaza. Great place to meet a friend or have dinner.

The main Plaza in Segovia is a nice place to relax and have some tapas and vino. The views of the stunning Cathedral are a joy to take in, especially at night time when the whole place is illuminated.
