The Church of San Andres is one of the typical churches in Segovia. Built on a romanesque style in XII century, although it was later reformed. Despite the reforms , it retains two romanesque apses, semicircular windows, columns and curtain rods. On the south portal, you can see a picture of a saint giving his name to the temple. Like many other Segovian churches, its interior was completely rebuilt in the Baroque style in the 17th century. It is located on the road between the cathedral and the Alcazar. Worth a visit.

The church, located halfway between the Alcazar and the Cathedral, is on the usual route between the two main monuments.
The portion of the structure that you pass is very attractive, especially the head formed by two apses and the tower.
The bell tower is interesting due to the fact that the first body is of solid stone and the second incorporates brick. The brick tower is topped by a slate spire.
The actual church was closed on the day I visited.

When walking from the big church to the fort I passed this smaller church. There are signs of the aqueduct right in front of it. I found this church to be very nice. I enjoyed the few minutes that it took to check it out.

I passed by this church on my way from Plaza Mayor to the Alcazar. Its exterior stands out in this area, with its tower and circular buildings. It was closed hence I didn’t manage to visit inside. Worth a photo shoot before moving on.

Iglesia de San Andrés
The Church of San Andrés de Valvieja (which is today the municipality of Ayllón), in the province of Segovia, it is one of the most surprising temples of this region. The austere look of its architecture, dated in the sixteenth century, it contrasts with the variety and quality of the altarpieces it preserves. The location of this church is on the “Plaza de San Andres” who is almost in the middle of the way in between the “Alcazar” and the “Cathedral”, all together a nice location and a wonderful village to visit.
