By now, since you are in a truly "out of the way" location, you have probably experienced numerous great markets all over Europe. This is not one of them. Barcelona it is not! This is just a cute and clean market that has a limited...More

My wife and I spent the day just wandering around the old city, including the central market. The entire city is amazing, especially the churches and the university centers. The Plaza in the city center is well worth an afternoon.

As part of a small group, we got some tastings of jambon, cheese and olives. Very tasty. Markets seem well presented and clean and colourful

This is the most enchanting marketplace I have ever seen. Go there by night, when the lights go on and people find there spot on the floor. The atmosphere is amazing, i never get tired of the sight.

Lots of fresh veggies and fruits plus baked goods and local specialties. Places where you can get prepared food and coffee too. Gives a glimpse of local life and customs. Go mid morning.

The main markets in any major city are normally worth a visit. Salamanca’s Central Market is a delight. Our tour didn’t give us much time there, but time enough to sample some local dried ham and in our case, buy some to take home.

Not at this market--food and a few souvenirs only. There are numerous clothing stores in the area--with some nice goods.
