Chatting to a local, he recommended the peace and quiet of this little square and I was delighted. It has all the charm of a village. It¡s irgular shape and cobbles give it a special touch, and some of the buildings around it are interesting examples of traditional architecture. There is a fine church at one end and a a fountain that supplied the pilgrims on the Jacobean route with water. But what really stood out for me where the pair of iwo hundred year old elms providing shade. Well worth spending some time here if you are in Leon.

Nice plaza in Leon worth a visit with pink buildings! Anyway Leon old town is very small, you can see everything quickly, so I advice you not to miss this square for some photos.

Quiet and peaceful place. An small church, a couple of restaurants/ bars. On one side, a hotel and an albergue, a monastery and a few apartments. A water fountain is also at the plaza.

A beautiful square with bars all around. Lovely old buildings and a fountain. Great place for a drink and people watching.

This is a really peaceful square, at least it was when we stayed in October, only 3 Tapas bars, and fairly quiet, even in the evening

Very cosy and a good way to get the real feel of the old city with cobbled stones and small houses. Drop by!

Our hotel room's balcony overlooked this square. It was a delight! The Camino de Santiago comes through here. Historically the monasteries looked out for the pilgrims. The monastery on this square is no different. The fountain was to provide water for the pilgrims and the large cross and 14th century church also served them. This cobblestoned square with its two restaurants (one of which we tried and enjoyed), was a picturesque delight.

Happened across this delightful square off the beaten track in the old quarter. We were happy to find this tavern for a seat outside in the sun watching the world go by. Just lovely! Nice service and good tapas.

A quiet plaza, in comparison to nearby plaza San Martin. A couple of terraces, a monasterio, lots of birds, and very, very quiet...
