Nice Cafes
Jun 2019 • Family
This small square is ringed with outdoor cafes and is a busy place when they are in operation. Some of the buildings were undergoing renovation when we were present but that had minimal impact on the plaza and its activity.

This plaza is small and intimate.

So much choice in such a small place
Jul 2018 • Couples
The streets close by are very quiet and run down but this plaza is buzzing with approx 20 bars all offering free tapas as well as an ex tended further choice of food.

We ate and drank in 3 very different bars and sampled excellent food included in the price of the drinks

A colourful and lively plaza.
Sep 2017 • Couples
Plaza San Martin is a very attractive square with several brightly coloured buildings. It is also a lively plaza with a good selection for cafes, restaurants and bars.
It's a really good place to come for a few beers and tapas.

Don't forget you're in Spain...
Jul 2017 • Family
While walking around looking for a place to drink something, we passed this plaza and everything was closed. It was around 1 o'clock and for us, Belgians, it was rather strange. Some hours later we came by again and everything was open and it looked really nice! It's full of bars and restaurants so there's choice enough here! But we noticed that we shouldn't forget that we were in Spain and should eat later than normal.

Many of the restaurant owners ignore tourists
Aug 2017 • Couples
We found that many of the restaurant simply ignored tourists and served locals first, at one restaurant we waited 20 minutes to be served and simply walked out after three tables of locals who had arrived after us had been served. We did, however, find one restaurant, Latino, who welcomed us and went out of their way to make us welcome, we went back there several times and thoroughly enjoyed our meal each visit.

Small square off the Plaza Mayor
May 2017 • Couples
There are lots of small squares in Spanish cities. We enjoyed this one because it was full of restaurants that were not quite as expensive as the ones on the Plaza Major that was just a block away. Yes, there were lots of tourists, but it didn't feel as hurried or cheesy as other area.

Typical Spanish square
Jul 2017 • Solo
Don't go out of your way to visit....It's a typical Spanish square which you can find in most towns and villages.....with a number of bars and restaurants.....It is not special.....There are a number like it in Leon. If you are nearby fine then visit.

Another plaza with restaurants
May 2017 • Couples
This is just like thousands of other plazas throughout Spain. It's nice to walk through while browsing for a restaurant to eat at, but otherwise there is nothing special about it.
