If you are in Leon and have an interest in the Roman period, this compact exhibition is well worth the visit. It is nicely laid out and has English captions.

The museum has a rather large Roman collection, which is nicely displayed, and there are several interactive games for kids. The museum gives an overview of life from pre-Roman times to about late 19th century, as well as the historic sites in the province of...More

A very nice museum, going from prehistoric time to early nowadays, in 2 floors and about 6 rooms in total. Local Leonese viewpoint, which makes it somewhat special. Nice views onto the city. For the most part also in English. Wheelchair accessible.

It was a delight to find this place - a mixture of modern art and Roman mosaics! And the price was sure right - we even would have paid to see the exhibits. The mosaics were the best - beautiful colors. The museum was almost...More

Worth the hour tour to see a building that A. Gaudi designed in Leon. The tour guide shows some of the unusual details that the architect included in the interior of the building, while making th exterior conform -mostly- to the other buildings which were...More

We started in the basement, and were advised to sit and listen in a room full of monoliths. As we did, we were presented with the idea of life as a passage of time, with only those markers to signify our having been there. Well...More
