Free to seniors. An excellent museum that provided a good overview of the area and its peoples and cultures. Worth the visit. Lots of interesting artifacts.

With the Cathedral and the Medieval Isidoro around, this Leon museum doesn't quite measure up. The prehistoric section I found surprisingly interesting, but the rest of the museum was quite inconsistent with a scattering of really engaging items.

We recommend this museum. Lots of information on the area, history, archeology, art, etc. of the area. Hardly any visitors, but worth a visit.

This museum is excellent. A well thought out and presented history of the region. Whoever was responsible for the curating did an excellent job and the exhibits accompanying text was extremely well written. Information in English was appreciated. The collection of day to day Roman artifacts is impressive and the best I've seen.

The head waiter in our hotel restaurant suggested we visited this museum, which we did - don't think there were any other visitors there at the same time, which was a shame, as it is a very interesting museum, showing the history of Castile & Leon

A quiet, lovely Museum with a very local feel. The information and artefacts are terrific and well worth the visit. It feels like a Museum from my youth but in a positive way. There are some beautiful objects and good scholarship to be found here but without the overbearing glamour of most contemporary Museums.

An interesting museum with a variety of displays mostly dating to the Roman period. Nothing really stood out during our 45 minute visit. We have visited dozens of museums that we have found more interesting than this one. If you have limited time in Leon many there other things to invest your time exploring.

The Town has invested heavily in time and resources to provide tourists with much to look at over an hour or two. Some of the artefacts- Cristo de Carrizo - are famous in their own right. A very economic admission charge too!

If you are in Leon and have an interest in the Roman period, this compact exhibition is well worth the visit. It is nicely laid out and has English captions.
