Wow what a big cathedral, we are not really into all the religious stuff but when such a sight as this comes into vision with a crowd waiting to get in it suggests we should take a look if only for the architecture alone! We took the audio guided tour which we hoped would give us some background and details... More

This is a magnificent building. It’s worth going in for the stained glass alone, which is truly outstanding. The cleaned up stonework is beautiful, looking very fresh as if it had just been finished. We were very lucky that a group of people who seemed to be a choir, walking the Camino Real together, were singing while we were there,... More

This is one of the main attractions in Leon. It's a museum more than a church -- few or no religious services. They charge admission which includes an audio tour which is not very good at all. They have additional charges for different parts of the place, like the cloisters, etc. The staff is completely useless and unhelpful. The tour... More

The Cathedral in Leon is one of the best in Spain! The glass windows are amazing and so are the different chapels inside

There is no reason to miss this gem. My wife and I would exchange glances of, "OMG.....wow!" from across the Cathedral as we photographed like mad people.

What the medieval builders could achieve with stone and glass was amazing. We spent hours in this building and it was a mindboggling experience from the stained glass windows to the carved wooden choir stalls. The hand held spoken information gave a good intro to the various parts and we were lucky that it was not busy.

The largest french style cathedral in Spain is completely jaw dropping. Ana amazing structure completely out of place in comparison to such a small city and this was even more so when it was built in a small town of 5000 people!

Would be strange to visit Leon without visiting its cathedral. Although no fan of baroque cathedrals, and some parts are quite grotesque the stained glass windows are quite extraordinary and you need to listen to the audio guide to explain how they were constructed . A worthwhile visit for this reason alone.

Architecture of this masterpiece is remarkable. You can easily compare it with best examples of gothic art, not only in Spain but in whole Europe
