The paintings and the individual sanctuaries were made for reflection and solitude appreciation. You can select audio accompaniment, which is advised strongly.

I visited during a break from the Camino de Santiago. I must say that it is simply amazing. Entry is 3.5 euro. You get a handset with your preferred language and you can go station to station to learn about the theological history of this cathedral. The works of art are phenomenal as is the architecture. This is a must... More

We went to the evening mass so we didn't have to pay the entrance fee; however, we were limited to the main chapel area and its surroundings. I chose not to pay for the official tour as I am nursing a knee injury and wouldn't have been able to walk around for two hours that is needed to truly appreciate... More

Wonderful building with English audio guides - an insight to Spanish religious history. "A must visit" experience.

This is spectacular. I've been to Paris, Rome, Florence, Sienna, Madrid, etc and this Cathedral is a knock out. That's all I can say. Go and spend some time and really look at each and every section. Take the headphones and listen to the history. Just great.

The architecture is incredible. There are fabulous painting and truly awe inspiring carvings. You pay hall if you are a pilgrim. Entry fee otherwise is 7E. With that you also get a audio device which explains the various chapels and rims you are looking at.

The Cathedral was built in the Gothic and most extravagant style. The Burgos Cathedral is the third largest cathedral in Spain, after the ones in Seville and Toledo. It was begun in 1221 and completed in the mid 13th century. The church is huge and when one visits it, they give you an audio guide as part of the entrance... More
