When in Burgos, visit the cathedral and bring your teenagers. Just pay the entree fee (which is considerably lower for teenagers) and take the audio tour, which is included in the entrance price. My kids actually loved it and wandered for about 2 hours through the massive building. The cathedral is impressive and offers many treasures of artistic and architectonic... More

Construction began in 1221 and the Cathedral still has many Gothic elements. The Spanish-Flemish Gothic altarpiece and Renaissance Golden stairway alone are worth the visit but there are works by famous Spanish artists. The tomb of El Cid is located in this Cathedral.

Beautiful cathedral in the centre of Burgos. Some great looking murals and art work. a good audio guide for the walk around and a great place to get out of the heat for an hour or so!

This place is primarily a museum. I don't think they have religious services any more. Good audio tour is included in admission. This really is a beautiful place!

My friend and I found this cathedral interesting rather than beautiful. Moreover, it was the least interesting "attraction" we saw in Burgos. Nevertheless, it deserves four stars for its size and historical importance.

Eyedeebees are not natural fans of cathedrals but Burgos is exceptional. For many reasons - the calm, the details on the ceiling, the beauty of the carvings, but more than anything else the green man in the crypt. Almost identical to one in Canterbury Cathedral, indicating the likelihood of the same architect. While other visitors may not look out for... More

The Burgos cathedral is beautiful and worth the entry fee. The audio guide, however, while informative, is on the tedious side - unless you are into knowing each of the artists and individuals involved in the construction and maintenance of the cathedral. We soon found ourselves skimming through the audio selections and just enjoying the beauty of the cathedral.

If in doubt do it. It's an expensive entry fee, but as a pilgrim remember to bring your credencial! The audio guide is very good and so informative. It's a beautiful structure and one of the greatest gothic builds ever!

This is a tremendous feast of beautiful altars and art. The audio guides were very helpful and gave extra information when you wanted it.
