Not the highest point, but a great viewing point part way up to Castillo de Burgos. From here, you can see most of Burgos Cathedral and its spires. There’s also a cafe, La Ciudadela, where you can stop off for a drink while enjoying the views.

The mirador is a must and was recommended to me by all people from Burgos! The climb was easy with some stairs, so nothing very adventurous! Great views.

We stumbled upon the Castille after attempting to visit St. Stephen's Chapel during siesta time. There is a set of stairs across the street, so we took a chance. The view from on top is amazing, and there is some interesting archaeological work going on.

I read there was ample parking and wasn't true...I came up a road which turned right onto a one-way and couldn't park...had to drop off my 75 yr old mother and drive down and up again only not to be able to park again. Took me about 15 minutes to return. If you turn left away from the Mirador you have a better chance of parking.

It's a bit of a climb from the cathedral (10-15 minutes) to get to the view point, but the spectacular views of the city and the Arlanzón River valley are well worth it.

Simple way to get here that saves the walk is to take the tourist train that leaves from the Sq close to the cathedral. E6.50 gives you a 55 minutes city tour with cometary & a 5 minute stop at the mirador.

We climbed to the Castillo from the Burgos Cathedral, passed by Iglesia de San Esteban, and stopped at the view points along the way. The walk is a gradual climb up but an easy one.

The reward is the 360 degrees views from the Castillo’s ruins and viewing platforms, so it definitely worth the effort.

The Castillo is a historical spot but nothing much is left... still it was fun to walk and take photos.

There is a cafe near the Castillo entrance for a snack or drink.

This is the lookout castle! It has beautiful views and help to show you what you are looking at! There are brown etchings on the railings that identify buildings and such..

Great location for sweeping panoramic views of Burgos, especially the Catedral. worth the trip up . We especially enjoyed the clear views over the City and the magnificance of the perfectly coiffed countryside views (see photos)

Mirador del Castillo is a good place to see Burgos. It’s a best option if you don’t have a lot of time.
