Worth climbing to the roof for the view

Definitely worthwhile climbing up to the bell tower to see and photograph the city of Toledo. Even we senior citizens did it!

Yes, you do need to walk up and overlook the Alcazar, Cathedral and the rest of the city. Inside the Church is a spectacular immense white space. As Spanish churches go, this is perhaps one of the brightest, open interiors.

This church has the best views from inside the city. The stairs to the towers are comfortable and you'll be able to see both the Alcazar and the cathedral from here, as well as several other landmarks of the city. It's free if you wear the Tourist bracelet and it's right on the way to the Santo Tome church and... More

We had insufficient time to go inside this beautiful church but both from the old town view and close up it is a magnificent building

Ticket cost 2.50 euro per person and you will have to walk up some stairs but it is not difficult if you have done the Cathedral in Florence :) Great view from up top of the ancient Toledo city. A must do in my opinion.

The church interior is suitably Spanish ornate, and might be worth a peek on it's own merits. The exterior clearly is reflective of Il Gesu in Rome. But the reason to come is the view from the towers. Access to the top is fairly easy, but there are no lifts, so be ready to climb some stairs. The view across... More

Peaceful beautiful church. Easy walk up to tower and from there stunning views of rooftops, town, and surrounding countryside. I was the only one up there a while; so very peaceful up there in the sun with the pigeons.

The church on its own is nice but the reason to visit it, is the view from the top of the towers. Stunning view upon the old city. Must visit only for this

Best view of Toledo, but you need a head for heights to get to the top of the twin towers. Open steel work stairs are used around the perimeter of the wall to get to the top of the tower - which can be a bit queazy. However, once there the view is very good.

Very beautiful church, the nicest part to us was going up to the bell tower and see the city from that vantage point. Lots of steps and narrow, but once you are there you don't want to come down, the church inside is very simple, but very nice. Well worth coming in to look at (cost to enter is a... More
