Entering Toledo from East Gate, arriving at Plaza Granadal. I was with a day tour hence the guide took us around Toledo to the major attractions: The Mosque, The Cathedral and The Synagogue.

We were the only ones on our tour of the bull fighting ring. It was fantastic and a highlight of our trip to Toledo. It takes about 10 minutes by bus to get there and one hour for the tour. You will be able to stand in the ring and in the pens where they hold the bulls before the match.

lt in the neo-Mudéjar style astonishingly similar to the centuries old churches of Toledo.
The Plaza de Toros lies just outside the old city of Toledo and it is where bullfights occur in season.

This town was one of the favorites which we visited. The original capital of Spain, it is rich in history and fabulous architecture. The streets are winding, cobbled and narrow, the town hilly, so good walking shoes are a must. There are escalators to take you up to the town, giving one an idea of how steep it is to get to the central city. It is roughly 1 1/2 hours by bus from Madrid, and totally worth the visit. A guided tour is definitely beneficial.
