I was reassured by staff at the shop on 18 June 2019 that this would NOT happen. I bought a sword for 90 Euros and it was just confiscated by the Spainish officials at Tarifa. Despite presenting them with the invoice they would not allow me to lock it up in the suitcase. Dont buy from this place unless you want to waste it. This left a bitter taste in my mouth as I leave Spain today.

The origin of the Toledo sword is more than 2,000 years old and dates back to the 5th century B.C.

Since we were in the historic city of swords, we visited the Toledo sword shop as part of our tour group.

Although most of the pieces here would be difficult to bring back home due to their price and weight, there are a number of smaller memorabilia items available for purchase.

Well worth a look at the range of different and impressive items here.

This was one of many very neat shops in the area. I have to say, if I was looking for a hobbit sword, or just some clever looking sword, it would have been wonderful. Don't get me wrong, it was very nice and the people were too, just not exactly what I was seeking.

We went around the corner to Mariano Zamorano Swords where I found what I sought, a craftsman who made swords in the shop.

From Madrid city, took a tour to the ancient city of Toledo (Spain's first capital). Our guide was friendly and informative, and it was a wonderful city for shopping. The artisans from the sword shop were incredible - they made sword, jewelry and other artifacts from silver, gold and precious stones.
The city is very accesible for travelers through private bus tours, the Metro subways system or taxi. It was an incredible site!

This is such a fun place to visit! I went with a study abroad group and we all enjoyed touring the sword factory and buying things for our families.

We stopped here on a Trafalgar Tour. Got a cool demonstration and got to view the jewelry artisans at work. The show room is great with everything from swords to knives to fine jewelry. One thing I liked was that they had jewelry for all price points. So you could get a quick souvenir or you could really go out and treat yourself.

The title says it all. I'm not sure my wife enjoyed it as much as I did but it's great to see so many different blades in one place! Of course, getting it through airport security would be a nightmare so I didn't even think about that as an option

Toledo is famous for sword making. This is a very old factory. They show us how the make swords using coal furnace and hammer. Then there is a workshop for inlay work and engraving on the swords. They also make Gold inlay goods and jewellery. Very beautiful stuff. But the main objective of the tour is to take us to the shop and buy jewels and swords. It’s is very expensive. But has some very cool stuff if you are collector. Overall nice. I bought a small sword with amazing work.

It was said that the best stainless steel weapons were from Toledo. The tradition continues, and there are many other goldsmiths articles with a perfect manufactoring. It is really worth to get some classical jewelry.

We took a tour bus reluctantly, it was our guides idea. Such a wonderful experience. We were amazed at the artistry of the swords and knives, wish we could have bought some but were afraid to fly with weapons. Jewlery was beautiful, purchased some beautiful earrings. thank you so much, the staff was friendly and very helpful.
