Rather plain romanesque on the outside - though sadly still one of the prettier buildings in the city, simply by default, since it seems few of the other historic buildings were preserved here - it does occupy a prominent space downtown - so if you're checking out the city you should stop by. But don't just stand outside, go on in, and be amazed by the paintings all over the walls and ceilings! It really is beautiful. Someone mentioned that the paintings were in the guinness book of records for being the world's largest mural - but I'd take that with a grain of salt, many small, proud cities tend to overhype themselves. But record or no, The paintings are pretty in a city without much else in the way of pretty.

It is a well used church, but stunningly decorated. Definately worth looking at if you find yourself in Albacete

The inside if the cathedral is decorated with frescos on the walls and ceiling - very calming and spiritual. The front facade has intricate stonework and arches, with the rest of the exterior of the building quite plain. Returned in the evening for tapas and a drink at Kings Bar in front of the cathedral and saw many people leaving the cathedral after mass and stopping for tapas and drinks.

I spent a solid hour here admiring the beautiful artwork in God's Albacete house. Just absolutely beautiful and very peaceful inside. I actually visited 3 days straight. Beautiful little park across the street with fountain.

So pleased we went. Beautiful stained glass amongst other things. Unfortunately no English translations, but well worth the visit.

The church inside is really well decorated and looks great. Am not a religious person but could admire the artwork. If in Albacete it's certainly worth a visit

The one thing that stands out in this cathedral are the murals painted all over the walls inside. Points for the person who can find the woman in typical Manchego costume...

Beautiful building with lovely stained glass. Be sure to go during visiting hours to get a look at the fabulous inside. Don't miss the glorious painted walls on every side. Central to most of the other "must-sees" in the city.

Located at the center of the city. Central point for the local's faith. Love the warm interior decor. Left the House of God with lifted spirit !
