Enjoyable trail
Feb 2020
Overall a nice trail. Although I think it's kind of an overstatement to call it "enchanted". I wouldn't say there's something enchanted - it's highly doubtful you'll come across a unicorn or leprechaun. Maybe if you visit on a hazy day it might seem "encantado". Contrary to what any people think, a permit is not needed to hike on La Ensillada trail (which goes through the Enchanted Forest). Many signs state otherwise though (see attached pictures) and it's totally unclear for me why the authorities would put such signs. I mean the trail crosses into La Pijaral for a meter or two but I don't think someone will write you a ticket for stepping into El Pijaral with one foot.

A great spot day and night
Nov 2019
This well established botanical garden was started in the 1920s and is a real gem. It has numerous walkways with varying plants and the lower end of the garden has a great café situated by the famous flower clock. During the day it provides shade and a pleasant place to relax and at night it is beautifully lit and is frequented by groups of well heeled dog walkers. Passing through it late at night presented no issues.

Green forest trail
Oct 2018 • Couples
Really beautiful forest tray with sturdy shrubs and fascinating succulents. Truly magical and eerily quiet.

Numbers are limited and a permit is required. This can be booked on line in advance. If you cannot get a permit you can hike a similar trail from opposite the church in Chamorga.

A place from the fairy tales
Jan 2018 • Couples
Absolutely breathtaking paths. We got there in rain, mist, strong wind and extreme cold in late January. It was still an amazing path to walk on. Lichens, epiphytons, ferns and loads of endemic plant and bird species. I highly recommend this place.

Second visit with family and friends.
Love the place, silence, greenery, fresh air.

The view is just amazing from top.

Need permission to visit the place and it can be booked online.

Nice walk, but nothing extraordinary.
Jan 2017 • Couples
This trail wasn't what I was expecting. It was nice, but nothing that I would repeat or recommend. It was boring and the view does not change much. So, after 1 hour waking I got tired of looking at the same over and over again.

Beautiful but you need a permit
Jan 2017 • Couples
Its really worth to go up to the bosque encantado and the surrounding area if you wish to see some beautiful scenery, cute villages and an impressive natural reserve. However, if you wish to go hiking you'll need a permit. Otherwise you could get fined considerably. Also, it's a bit tricky to find the entrance to the trail, look for a small parking on the side of the road and for the hikers of course.

We did this walk from a Fred Olsen Cruise. Very knowledgeable guides and a beautiful forest. We learned a lot about the area. This was a long walk up the side of a mountain and then down through the forest finishing with light refreshment at a local bar. Would highly recommend proper walking shoes.
