After a sailboat passage from Cadiz Spain to Tenerife island, the crew and I visit this beautiful island. La Rambla de Santa Cruz was a fascinating area to visit. Santa Cruz de Tenerife was an amazing island with a wonderful volcano and excellent roads to ride on Motorcycle. I rented a bike at Feel it Motorcycle and the service was incredible.

Walked along this tree lined avenue during our day visit to Santa Cruz.
Typical of this type of street layout in Spanish cites the central reservation is pedestrianised with cars travelling along both sides. In terms of traffic it’s very busy, actually not great for your health/ breathing really. Although quite scenic there’s not a lot there , a few Resturaunt sand kiosks but not much else. No comparison with Barcelona.....

Very nice street, full of restaurants, stores, bars. And it's very green so you can spend there some time

As with all of Santa Cruz all areas are great to visit.
The city itself I find is quite compact and if you comply with traffic etc you can get around very easily. The city has some very good shops and a visit to Corte del Inglis is well worth it just to view the store.
The open areas along the seafront are also well worth a look as the centre of the city streets run perpendicular to each other, have a look at the visiting cruise ships as well.
Should also say use public transport, its cheap and runs on time all the time.

You should start the walk in the upper end of the avenue, it has lots of trees to protect you from the intense sun, there are some cafeterias along. It's about 3 km long, it ends at the port from where you should turn right and continue your walk along the port.
I did not like the signal lights in Santa Cruz, some crossing involved 4 signal lights just to cross the street.

A pleasant change as you drive along the Ramblas, which can take you from the sea road right across to the other side of the city. There are several good hotels nearby, and, depending which one you choose, a leisurely ten minute walk through the park takes you to the old city, with all its shops and restaurants.

Franco has been erased from this lovely walk with ample opportunity for refreshment on route, a place where the Santa Cruz elderly meet and talk. An ideal place for people warching.....

This makes for a nice walk despite the fact that is flanked by traffic.

The playgrounds in the park adjacent to the walk (Garcia Sanabria) were good.

Not to impressed really with this walk, as you walk through the centre of the wide road which is tree lined and looks nice, but you have cars on both sides, so breathing in car fumes. Poor. Better walk is the one along the sea front by the large cruise ships.

Beautiful views from this main thoroughfare with nice cafes and lovely parks. You can follow it and find the tram that will take you to La Laguna (Unesco site) where there are great cafes and shopping.
